(September 13, 2022, 6:22 pm)This prime location Tonka Bay Marina is well organized and vey professional. The docks are well-maintained year around. He has invested in an exceptional system that keeps the water from freezing to eliminate damage. The place is always clean and we love his big cheerful planters. We’ve often watched them service boats and are quite impressed with their expertise and passion to make boating on Lake Minnetonka a great experience for everyone.
They think ahead of things to plan for client’s needs. Like when to have a boat pulled out and ready for use. Or providing what you need for proper boat storage. Or lending a hand if weather quickly turns on us.
Even when super busy, like on the 4th of July, Joe and other staff do what they can to offer support to everyone. They are very personable. It feels like a family atmosphere and that’s why many return year after year and don’t want to risk losing their slip, storage, or other services since there is high demand.
Gabriel, the owner, is quick himself to help out when a need arises. He even has carried my newly purchased bag of ice for me – several times.
We’ve admired Gabriel’s Skiffcraft’s for sale. With his personal stellar reputation, this is whom we trust if that next purchase comes along. Not only can you tell that he loves what he does, he is helpful, honest, and thoughtful. As a way to show loyalty, he also offers dockage and winter storage customers a nice gas discount at their dock all season long.

(August 8, 2021, 5:03 pm)Joe in Service was very responsive when we called about our major issue with our SeaRay Sundancer. He got us a quote and was able to start work in just a couple days. We dropped of the boat on Sunday evening and had it back before the weekend! Great super fast service and excellent communication, sending updates with photos of the work in progress. Boat drives like new and we are loving it! Thanks to everyone at Tonka Bay for keeping the summer fun going!
(July 5, 2020, 12:40 pm)Called to get my boat serviced for the 4th of July but they were 3-4 weeks out. Joe from Tonka Bay Marina walked me through a couple things to troubleshoot myself on the engine. He provided me his email to send him pictures so that he made sure I was looking at the right thing. I was able to get it fixed. Super helpful and great service! Will definitely start taking my boat there for future service!
(April 12, 2019, 3:14 pm)My family has kept our boat at the beautiful Tonka Bay docks for over 15 years now. The Marina is kept clean and the staff is friendly and always there to help. I highly recommend Tonka Bay Marina to anyone looking for a slip on the lake, winter boat storage, service, and boat sales, they are the best in the business!
