“Went on a Monday. No other horses there and no bikers. Great trails and although part of trail is near road or bike path it wasn’t a big deal. My horse is broke to all that stuff!”

“It's a great park to see the fireworks during 4th of July.”

“The baseball diamonds are in great shape, the water park is outstanding (gated though, not free}, the new kids playground is small but well done, and the open fields leave a lot of room to roam and play soccer. The softball/kickball fields are minimalistic and I don't have any information on the restrooms, as I have never been in them. Parking is usually a breeze on either the south side or the north. Overall, we always feel safe there and the kids from the school dominate all but the baseball diamonds.”

“We love this playground, at any time of the spring, summer, or fall! It does not tend to be terribly busy most days, which is a big bonus now when we are socially distancing. There is equipment for any age, from a baby swing up to a fast spiral slide! The picnic shelter is also very convenient.”

“We love this cute little spot! Just a short walk and a great view(: perfect for a little picnic!”

“Great dog park. Our favorite so far. Large section has good visibility and dogs can’t get lost in the woods. (That has happened at other parks!) Nice and respectful dog parents too! Deducted one star for a tumble in the small dog park because of an aggressive hole. (Which was filled in next time we were there.)”

“Our 2 year old loved this playground. Parking is close (though only 4 or 5 parking spaces). There is a shaded picnic area and benches with a nice view of the lake. Would be a great spot for a hillside picnic.”

“Beautiful school park accessible to public as well. It's a very clean park built with a theme definitely meant for toddlers 3-4 years of age. It has pretty much everything needed for imbibing in kids, the love for outdoors. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed it. A should go park for sure.”

“This is a small neighborhood park. It's clean and the play area has been recently renewed. A big play field enough for a friendly soccer flag football game. Lots of shade trees for a family picnic. There is no porta-potty available, so plan accordingly.”

“Always a thrill to pay a visit to the well-run Gale Woods Farm in Minnetrista, MN. They offer educational opportunities for visitors of all ages to gain an understanding of agriculture, food production, land stewardship, programs and summer camps for aspiring farmhands, and skill-based classes including fiber arts, cooking and gardening. If that weren't enough, Gale Woods hosts many cross country races, including the annual high school Sections meet. Thanks as always. Check it out!”

“What a hidden gem just west of the cities. It has a double entry gate, separate area for smaller pups, tons of shade, benches and tables all through out. The trails are clear and the best part is it's all fenced in. The park had fresh well water and an outhouse Don't forget the bug spray, your dog won't want to leave! So much fun!”

“A relaxing place to spend some quality time with family or friends. This is one of the easier Three Rivers Park reserve campsites to get to. The only thing that could be updated is the bathrooms. Even in the day time they're dark. I wish they had a skylight or bigger windows to let more light in until the solar ones kick on.”

“The best dog park that we have ever been to! We are from out from town, but were happy that we could still bring our dogs here. You have to buy a permit online which costs $5 per dog per day, but that was pretty easy to do. You don’t have to print this off, which can be a huge hassle when travelling. The park itself is gorgeous, and also huge! Plenty of walking trails through the woods to explore with a ton of off leash areas. There is also an area by the water where dogs are able to splash around. Lots of friendly dog owners around who were able to point us in the right directions. Do not skip this place if you have dogs! It is well worth the drive and the small fee.”

“A great patch of nature in the middle of the suburbs! On the edge of Crystal Airport, it has walking trails, wood walkways over swampy areas. You'll see wildlife, including an occasional deer. Bring your kids, and your dog for a nice nature walk.”
