“Superb service, shout-out to Tyler! I had Jambalaya and it was well seasoned. Did not love the rice but the shrimp was perfection! The appetizer platter we had was awesome and delicious as well. Kudos to the chef! Tab was a bit pricey for non-formal dinner(outdoor sitting) and there is a dine-in charge as well. Overall, I will definitely visit again. Oh! The recommended bum bum room cocktail was very refreshing, gin, rum balanced well with the remaining flavors👌🏾”

“Their beef laab hands down is the best in the Twin Cities! Raw laab or cooked Iaab are both super delicious here. They do offer a variety of delicious Hmong and Thai foods in their menu. I highly recommend this restaurant!!!”

“Our favorite place to pick up pizza from - we consistently turn to Mavericks when we want good pizza… the flavor and crust and toppings… absolutely delicious!! Plus their sugared Nutella bites can’t be beat… YUM! Employees always super friendly, too. Would recommend!!!”

“Flame is a classic North metro institution! It's a down-to-earth place with classic diner food that's always really tasty. Great for weekend breakfast or a late night bite. You can dine in or take out, and service is quick. Do yourself a favor and get the hash browns as your side!”

“Overall the food was tasty and reasonably priced. We were there on a Sunday afternoon arriving just before 1. First thing to note, the restaurant is not handicap accessible. There is a step to get in and out and a just a manual door. We managed to get my grandma in and out, but it was a struggle. We were given a friendly greeting, and as we'd had a reservation were seated quickly, though the reservation hardly seemed necessary as there were only two or three other tables that were occupied. Drinks and appetizers were ordered quickly and came to the table fairly quickly as well. I highly recommend the sirloin tips and the onion rings. It took a fair bit if time for the server to come back for our entree orders and even longer for the entrees to be served. Granted, we were a party of six, so one expects a bit of a delay. But this seemed longer than I would expect. Everyone in the party was happy with their entreés though mine the "Little Charlie's" sandwiches (two slider sized beef sandwiches) were tasty, but I requested med. rare and one arrived med well, the other rare. The friendly atmosphere and tasty food made up for the couple issues I mentioned. I would definitely go back, but I wouldn't take grandma or anyone else with mobility issues and I would be prepared to wait, and to send my meat back if not cooked to the requested temp.”

“A great neighborhood bar we visit fairly regularly. The drinks and food are good - including killer cheese curds we get every time! The staff is fun and service is good. The only thing that could be improved is updating the bathroom stalls a bit.”

“Amidst Covid-19 restrictions, this restaurant does all of the proper things and with amazing execution! First and foremost, friendly and professional service. Not hurried, timing was great! Courses came out at the right time and were fantastic. Our dishes look just like the pictures and tasted great. Not too spendy either! My advice, skip a chain restaurant some night, visit Carmelo's and experience a real restaurant.”

“Big portion of entrees, enough for 2-3 people. Reasonable price, fast seating & food came in an appropriate amount of time. However, it is very quiet in the dining area & business is pretty slow (esp during the pandemic). Food is good for authentic Thai/Southeast Asian dining. Customer service could use some improvement, but the staff were nice. Only critique is, hope there’s music or what not for background noise because it’s awkwardly quiet. I also didn’t get any refills for water & I was low halfway through dining. The appetizers also don’t come first, which wasn’t a bother to me but to some it might. Overall, I recommend and would definitely go back to dine in.”

“One of the older bar and restaurants in the Minneapolis area. It had been around since 1976. It has an older style decor to the place which gave me a comfortable laid back feeling. There is a downstairs game room with pool tables and dart boards as well as another bar. The nachos that we ordered were phenomenal. Homemade nacho chips are what made it over the top. Fantastic little place and a must see..”

“Best fried fish in the Twin cities. Period. The catfish is flaky and tender and fatty. The Whiting is perfect fried fish, the flavor of my childhood fish sticks, but the texture of a shore fried fish freshly caught. The perch is similar, but stronger flavored and softer. I enjoyed their wings, nice and crispy and moist tender meat. The fries were really good: a perfect crisp on the outside with almost mashed potato on the inside. Looking forward to trying their steak sandwiches.”
