Situated on a bend in the river where she slows down and broadens over shallows, creating a natural beach and playground for many activities. It's also a beauty spot down in a sort of leafy green gorge, hidden away and out of sight -- never long enough it seems, from work and the worries”

Battle Creek Dog Park

Address: 2350 Upper Afton Rd, Maplewood, MN 55119, USA

Park

“This is one of the best dog parks I've ever been to! It's absolutely huge, but still entirely fenced in. We usually do two full laps (there are tons of paths you can choose from, but there is one overarching path around the outside), and it takes us about an hour. My dog (Rutabaga, a catahoula mix with the energy of a toddler on red bull) absolutely loves coming here. I also love that the dog parents actually keep track of their dogs. It would be easy for people to just let their dogs run around (it happens at many dog parks), but people are really responsive to their pets. It's gorgeous year round, but I really love the spring and fall with all the bright greens or bright fall leaves.”

“This park is nice, peaceful, a good place to go fishing, the kids at the beach, a dock for boat, neighbor friendly, close to Cub Food, grilling area, a changing room/ bathroom during working hours with life guard on board at certain time if you do go swimming. But please do call or go there in person if questions or concerns and for the time frame. Como Town

Address: 1301 Midway Pkwy, St Paul, MN 55103, USA

Amusement park Park Restaurant

“My three year old loves this place! An amusement park with many rides that little kids can enjoy. You can buy an all-day or all-season pass and let your little thrill seeker go on their favorites over and over. There is also a fun playground with splash pad inside so bring extra clothes or at least a towel. Some rides allow an adult to ride with their kid for free (Bees, bumper cars, tea cups ) My only complaint is the dark, dank restroom on site but at least it's there.”

Prospect Park
