(April 27, 2021, 9:15 pm)Great trail!!! 2 miles from parking lot and back. Dogs not allowed:( Trail is behind metal gate, if you go between signs you're on an animal trail that ends abruptly. Found out the hard way...Oops!!! Takes about an hour round trip if you don't stop. Gorgeous views, lots of wildlife!!!
(January 17, 2021, 12:44 pm)Nice place to go hiking near st. Louis. You will have to get off trail to see some special unique features. Also, close-by off the tracks down in St Albans is Tavern Rock cave. A shelter cave under the tracks that's worth the effort.

(August 27, 2018, 5:19 pm)The trailhead is not well marked. A nice-looking, well developed trail leads out of the left side of the small parking lot. About a quarter of a mile in, this trail dwindles down to non-existent. The "real" trail and trail loop are accessible behind the steel gate and gravel road on the right side of the parking lot. Beautiful trail, beautiful place.
