Their grilled meats are fresh and all made from scratch; the kebapche (Bulgarian pork kebabs) is intricately spiced without being too salty, and it is so succulent that it bursts open with its rich juices the instant you take a bite . And the pastries (baklava, banitsa, tiramisu, fig and mascarpone) are great— airy, light, smooth. Sometimes their pastries have been sitting around for a while and the quality can lag depending on freshness, so weekends are probably the best time to visit”

“Worst nachos I've ever had. Good service. Editing for the owner as a response as I'm too dumb to figure out how to respond directly. You guys use shredded cheese that starts to harden into a blob of inedible slurry seal 60 seconds into delivery; probably great for sealing a driveway, not so great for nachos. If you went with a more viscous queso kinda of cheese, I think it'd be a huge improvement. Just my opinion, may not be the majority opinion so do what's best for business. Service was good though, kind staff who were attentive and friendly. Editing again. I didn't care for the nachos at all. But frankly, it's a chill spot in a chill location right off the path of lovely lake. Pop in for a beer to interrupt your walk with a refreshing beverage. Service is solid, patio is nice, prices are reasonable. Actually gonna add a star after considering the overall experience.”

“I'm always happy to go here for lunch when I'm in the area. They seem to always have some kind of special going that's not on the menu, and it's usually quite good. The photo shows their Chicken BLT, with a side of fries. Now who would have thought to put a chicken breast on a BLT? It was actually a great combination. And the fries? They were done perfectly - possibly the best I've ever had! Satchmo's is my go-to place for lunch in this area.”

“Dine is in back. Personally this is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in stl. This is not a cookie cutter restaurant and has good tasting food. The general taso has fresh garlic and ginger in it. The hot and sour soup has a unique restaurant and is absolutely beautiful and I love it. The lunch menu is almost too cheap! There were Definitely issues during covid times with the quality food but now that dine in is back everything back to how I love it. Notes for self. Potstickers were weirdly sweet and gigantic.”

I asked if they were stuffed fresh or came frozen and was told that they were frozen but assured that they were good. What I got felt microwaved.
