“I'm going to be honest. On a true scale of 5 stars this is an amazing 3 stars. Comfy bed, clean rooms, nice lobby. Halls really need a facelift as they do still smell smoky but all in all its a great clean room, they are pet friendly and the price is fantastic. Products offered (or shampoo) are pretty basic but decent amenities otherwise.”

“The room was super tiny! But it was cozy and comfortable. There was a soft window seat in our room that was long enough to lay down on. So almost like a second bed. Bed was super comfy. The person at check out was very hard to hear because he spoke so quiet but he was very nice. The hot tub and pool were both dirty and cold.”

“This is a truly stellar motel. The night before, we had stayed somewhere awful and this was just a breath of fresh air. The owner takes great pride in his hotel being well maintained. It made such a difference. As of June 2015, everything has been recently refurbished. As a result, everything was both clean and nice. The bed was excellent and the rooms are spacious. More than that, even though there was some annoying event on in town that we weren't even there for, he is the only one who didn't hike up his prices. He told us he relies on regulars and just charges the same thing no matter what. I have such appreciation for that. The Best Western down the road wanted to charge nearly double what he was charging. Anyway, comfortable, good location, well maintained, nice owner. I highly recommend this hotel as someone who has stayed in about a dozen hotels in the last couple of weeks. It was easily one of the best in terms of value and overall experience. ”

Staying for long-term was relaxing and convenient since two of the rooms have kitchens, and the management supplies with cooking items, snacks, etc. They also have TVs, fireplaces as well as whirlpool tubs. The owner and staff are friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating if you need additional items and/ or information. If you get a chance say hi; I learned so much talking with them. They also have a lot of materials on what to visit and see in Lincoln and the rest of Nebraska. The views are beautiful, especially if staying in Wild Rose and the Sunset Suite from where you can see the sunset. Full trees and long expanses of land right outside your window. Sometimes you hear birds in the morning; also there are cats and some bunnies around. It’s a nice break from the busy downtown. Once you leave you’ll definitely miss it: the paintings, historical artifacts and being in a well-decorated space, reminiscent of the prairie life.”

“Decent prices n very nice n friendly people. Is definitely worth it. They have a $10 bag full of fireworks for kids. First time I ever went there was this yr but I was very pleased with what I paid for.... my kids all enjoyed them. Oh also if u are looking for artillery shells cheap they are a good idea. I bought I believe it was a six pack of the shells with the tube for $5 n for $5 they were some pretty good ones! May definitely go back next yr.... if not for the big stuff then definitely the stuff that I'll have my kids fire off.”

“We were headed home through the latest snow storm and needed a quiet place to get adequate rest for the night. When I called Amy answered and was extremely understanding and hospitable! When we arrived everything was taken care of and she was extremely helpful and kind. The room was comfortable, the morning staff was amazing, buffet was top notch for a continental breakfast. “My experience was horrible. The rooms are small.They let people smoke when they're supposed to be some feets away from the building and the people who work here are the main ones smoking. They let people smoke in the rooms and try to blame other people who don't smoke. The front desks are mean and rude. They tried to steal my money. They gave away my room that I reserved. They tried to fix the AC but it only made it worse. They only gave me one shampoo bottle with three people in a room. I was walking in my room cooking some food and it burned up the kitchen stove and I started screaming.Tina is rude. They let people pull the fire alarm and scare people. You could catch the virus here!! They pick and choose who they want to be nice to. I would never advise ANYONE TO STAY HERE IT IS HORRIBLE!!”

“I was there to assist one of the artists at the Jewell, but the staff from the valet onward treated me like an honored guest. They asked if I needed assistance with equipment, greeted me with kindness and even directed me to the elevator straight to the venue. After the concert, I still experienced the same service. The lobby and venue are both so beautiful, I can only imagine how nice the rooms themselves are. It's nice to go to a place where even if you're an assistant, you still get treated like a VIP”

“The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because of the musty smell. It wasn’t a constant smell and I think it was just from the old carpet. Other than that it is a great place to stay. It was clean, the staff was SO friendly, breakfast was good, and the rooms were spacious. We would stay there again!”
