“Coming from Southern California when you can find a Ross dress for less on every corner it was amazing to see a Ross as we were driving through this town we made a detour to go in and do a little shopping. It really was fun and gave us that old feeling of finding a good deal. I will say that the store was a little more messy than I would’ve expected and when you go through the line to lead up to the register you can barely fit your cart through the opening to head up to the register because the bags stand is so close you can barely fit your cart through. Other than that, i’d have to give big props to the very pleasant clerk who rang us up she was very beautiful, African-American long hair beautiful nails and had a pleasant smile and a great attitude. I felt very welcome and glad that I was being served by someone who took their job seriously. I should’ve got her name! Hopefully the manager knows who this young woman is so they can give her a pat on the back and maybe even a raise.”

“Listen, maybe you're like me. You loved the old MJM in South Plainfield before it closed. You're a little afraid to venture down to the Lawrenceville location because of the negative reviews here. I was just there today and my advice is -- make the trip! :-) You're not going to know if they have something you like unless you actually go and check it out for yourself. It's right off RT 1. Super easy trip. I'm in Somerset, and it took about 25, 30 minutes. I'm really GLAD I went! I needed flats and I found 3 pairs! - Calvin Klein, Anne Klein and Life Stride. All really cute and comfy - even the Life Strides were cute - not at all "old lady" shoes, lol! I never did that well at the old MJM! GREAT prices. Definitely a lot better than DSW which is over priced to me. They had a lot of sandals, too (I'm writing this in June) PLUS, there is a Burlington in the same mall. They carry some of the same shoes as MJM, plus clothes, housewares etc. Definitely worth the trip to go to both stores. Yes - the shoes in the Lawrenceville MJM are on racks, but so what? Sure, maybe they don't have quite as many shoes as the old store, but from some of the reviews, I thought the store would be a shambles, lol -- but it was FINE!! It's nice and neat and A LOT bigger than I expected! My friend found a pair of sandals and some sneakers. We only shopped in the Women's section, so I can't comment on the Kid's or Men's sections.”

“Everyone was super sweet and helpful in finding the perfect outfits for a sad occasion. These ladies went above and beyond the normal to make sure I looked the best, plus you can tell they cared (I used to work for Michael Kors so I know retail) they didn't try to sell me anything outrageous, actually everything they suggested was 40% off. Also, EVERYTHING I bought has already been used in everyday/night occasions, they were really cool, saying hey you can get so many uses out of these clothes than say 2 black dresses you'll throw in your closet. All in all they made a very sad time for me a nice and helpful distraction.”

American lady over the counter is very good and explained the deals. The other lady with cloth over head is not so professional so reducing one star.”
