“Last night we ordered a take-out from Jamaican Empire (located in East Trenton, between North Clinton and North Olden avenues) and we are happy to report that the food was good. The oxtail stew offered in medium and large sizes, and there is a wide variety of choices (two choices per order), from fried plantains and mac & cheese to white rice, rice and peas, or steamed vegetables). The most popular side usually served with oxtail, steamed cabbage, is served by Jamaican Empire as steamed veggies, with addition of corn and carrots. The prices are cheaper that at most of the competitors (large portion is sold for $20 through GrubHub vs $27 or $29 offered by other Jamaican restaurants in the area), the food was good, the proportion of meat and sides very decent.”

They are all so friendly and professional, especially Maddy, Brandon and the one young man, who is new and got my mom's drink just perfect, best she's had and he was only there 2 weeks! Brandon knew my "usual order" and I'd only been in a few times. Maddy was sweet and chatted with me and other customers. They are all so personable, they give you a "wow" experience. I have Starbucks that are closer to my home but I choose to go here because of the thoughtful staff and amazing service!”

“Went here Sunday for brunch. What a phenomenal experience! The restaurant is set inside of the Princeton Country Club. The decor is very appealing. The brunch is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., but we also had access to the lunch and dinner menus.The food was amazing!! We had shrimp and grits, oxtails and the house salad with salmon. Presentation was fabulous!! The portions were very generous for the price and we all had to get takeout containers! Chef James came out and greeted us and asked us how we were enjoying our meal. His wife was also on hand to table touch and make sure that we had everything we needed. We felt like family! We were told that happy hour will be starting in June! Can't wait to see what that will be like! We will definitely return!”
