“New ownership looks like a good move. Was surprised to see our Italian wrapped in boars head paper. If all your meats are boars head you should advertise that. Sandwich was quite robust for $14. As we are fans of both Tastee and Hoagie Haven this was a contender. (Seriously it was a very well constructed sandwich) Feedback would be more onions and sharper provolone. (Board head should have more kick than what was on there) Unclear what online ordering is operational, and the store ambiance and customer service was a bit off. The ordering terminals we fine, but would be nice to be able to order online for pickup in store without using one of the deliver apps. Also given how robust the menu is, what is offered when? Nice job. We will be back again.”

I’d focus my review more on the food, drinks and ambience. I usually take the bar spot and I don’t see any problem with their service. Pretty standard. Sometimes they are short staffed, so you may end up waiting for long. Don’t be surprised if you’re seated in a separate table and waitress not attending you. Its quite possible. Food and drinks are decent. Variety of beers but not much food options for vegetarians. Mostly catering wings.”

Also I will say, that I like hot & spicy foods but if you have someone who doesn't like it don't do the HOT broth even the mild was extremely HOT! Unfortunately to the point where you couldn't enjoy the rest of your meal due to burning your taste buds on that one broth! So my advice would be to do the not HOT broth, and and to your spice. I did that and it was a much more enjoyable meal. Luckily I hadn't put all my meal (noodles, meat, herbs and vegetables) in the HOT broth right away without testing it, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to enjoy it.”

“Been here a few times and this particular visit was the best. Not that they all haven’t been good but my sandwich today knocked my socks off!!! I got the Porkette sandwich and man it hit the spot! The broccoli rabe was cooked perfectly, the pork was nice and tender and the long hots had a great bite. On top of the sandwiches they have prepared foods as well. Not this visit, but I did get the eggplant parm one night and it was fantastic. Nice and fresh, thin sliced eggplant like I like it. The other thing I love about this place is they have spicy anchovies in a jar. These are my favorite and hard to find so to have a shop not too far from my house to get them is nice. (I have a picture of them in the review) I personally have only gotten take out but the atmosphere is nice and they have a table by the window if you wanted to sit down. The staff is very friendly and the chef / owner came out personally to hand me my, stellar, sandwich and thanked me for my business. That is a nice touch. All is all a great Italian market with good food for now, later, or to pick up ingredients to make your own. I almost forgot the bread!!!!! They carry Melone Brothers bread, the best bread in the known world!!! It makes the sandwich pop and you got to get a stick of bread for your house it makes any meal better.”

“This was my first time ever eating here and I walked away a happy customer. I was going to try the pizza place next door and decided to see what they sold here. I'm so glad I did! The staff was friendly and even offered to let me sample anything I wanted. I sampled the savory mayo and fell in love. I got a custom made sandwich, Smoked turkey, American cheese, bacon, savory mayo, lettuce & tomato on a ciabatta roll. It was amazing! Tlayudas are very large thin toasted tortillas (piazz box size!) covered with bean spread, crumbly cotija and mozerella-like oaxacan cheese, lots of cabbage, onion, tomato, bell pepper, and avocado and the meat of your choice (or meatless). I could only eat half and delightedly snacked on it through the next day. They have tacos, fajitas and other familiar Mexican dishes. There are weekend special dishes, including some meal-sized soups I’ll try this winter! Until the , it was great to finish with a paleta (a delicious water or milk based popsicle from the freezer in the front in MANY tropical flavors.) Inexpensive, delicious, clean, warm waitstaff. It’s in a store with many Mexican products (or they deliver.) I’ve been twice in the last 2 weeks and plan to go back. Easy to get to from Princeton — just take Nassau Street South and keep going?”
