“I want to express my appreciation for the exceptional service Maliszewski Funeral Services provided for my mother who passed away on March 23, 2023. Since I was in San Diego, I had to make the funeral arrangements long distance. Paul walked me through everything and was there for the whole process from obtaining my mom from the hospital, arranging the wake at the Maliszewski Funeral Home in South River, the cremation, mass, and cemetery burial. All went well and Paul was very accommodating and respectful. The personnel did a great job tailoring a video photo display of my mom, set to music. An extra touch was provided with finding a cardinal picture for the memorial card and a video for the video display. The cardinal was my mom’s favorite bird. Finally, once the services were over and I was back in San Diego, the Maliszewski team reached out to me to see how I was doing. This was most appreciated as the emotional side of someone passing can take a toll. I would highly recommend using Maliszewski Funeral Services for the last journey of your loved ones. From the initial phone conversation, I knew that John would take care of the needs of my family as we coped with the loss of a 7 week old baby. John was incredibly compassionate and anticipated the needs of the family, walking us through the decisions that were needed, but taking away any of the burden that he could. “Alvarez funeral home absolutely went above and beyond my expectations in assisting my family with funeral arrangements for my grandfather. Ernesto was courteous and informative, and never made me feel like he was trying to upsell services compared to what other funeral homes quoted me. Pricing was extremely fair- one of the most economical choices compared to other funeral homes in the northern NJ area. When it came to the day of the service- Jorge was the person assisting us, and I cannot begin to mention what a relief it was to be helped by him. Jorge went above and beyond to help us get everything set up, was present and available to everything we needed help with during the service, and very kindly ushered family and friends out just a tad early when it came time for our services to come to a close so that immediate family could have some private final moments with my grandfather before they sent him off. I am not going to lie- I was a bit hesitant and worried because pricing seemed too good to be true and per previous reviews but I could not be happier with how the services turned out. “Beth Shalom Chapels was very helpful when making arrangements after my father's passing. Even during the pandemic, they provided personal service and assistance when I needed it the most. Their guidance and expertise were timely and very much appreciated. Michael asked all of the right questions, even asking if my father was a veteran and arranging for the Marines to attend the service to perform military honors. It was very touching and I appreciated all of the efforts they provided to me and my family. Updated - I have used Beth Shalom Chapel/Old Bridge Funeral Home twice. Most recently for the funeral of my mother. This time, the staff helped me and my family with a beautiful service to honor her in the Jewish tradition. “Go here for a funeral for your loved one! Charlie and the staff did an amazing job working with me through this difficult process. The constant graceful communication and patience despite all my questions at all hours of the night and many requests was greatly appreciated. I was worried that I wouldn’t have sufficient photos collages and they went above and beyond even surprising me with custom creations that I will likely frame or use again at an annual memorial celebration. The attention to detail and quality helped to facilitate a beautiful tribute to my father. While the process felt like an intense wedding to plan, Charlie directed the process with grace and tact each step of the way providing me with some comfort and reassurance as I wanted perfection for this final walk down the aisle with my dad. The Cemetary and church were also coordinated by Charlie and he made this easy as there were multiple moving pieces. The morning of I was a little upset because the posters I printed were too large and weren’t laying right but Gareth went to the rescue and was able to trim the edge and posted it so it would be perfect. I loved the photo handout for all guests and the laminated cards and laminated obituary. Even the donation cards were a nice touch. They provided me with an extra glass bowl so I could supply gum for guests and accommodated my every need and question. I loved the program and directions that were provided to the guests. Also, they packaged up everything in a neat bag with a bow. This place is top notch and I’m SO GLAD I put my trust in Charlie and the staff at Vander May! Thank you for a beautiful day to remember my dad!”
