“Open only a few Saturdays and Sundays in May, Sept. and Oct. Plan ahead, put the date in your calendar, and make the lovely drive there. (Actual cider pressing is done only one Saturday each year -- I plan not to miss it next year -- but you still get to see the mill machinery in action. Volunteer staff are well-informed and passionate. Great tour, appropriate for adults or children, concluding with a taste of actual cider.”

“I've been passing by signs for this place the last 6 months. Finally made it a point to visit with the family. Five of my kids ages 6 to 20. Just a few miles from where we live and a totally different landscape. Beautiful! We did a 2pm tour with Lisa. She was very knowledgeable and animated. Which made a potential "boring" homeschool "field trip" more interesting for my 6yo. We arrived early so we took the trail at the side of the house to explore a bit of the D&R Canal.”

“For me the experiance was very surreal. The walk by the edge of forest and canal is peaceful. Try canoeing/ kayaking through the canal. The service is not expensive and gives one of a kind experience.”

“Had a wonderful time looking and learning about the history of rocks and minerals. They have a pit full of rocks that you can hunt for your own. Some are worth money. I recommend bringing safety glasses, a hammer and sturdy shoes. Great for people of all ages.”

“If you can make it for a tour, I highly recommend it. The lighthouse is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. Jim was our tour guide, and he is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The views from the top are great, and the information about the history of the lighthouse and all of the surrounding area is very well kept and displayed.”

“This is one of New Jerseys hidden treasures. Classic narrow gauge trains in a secluded state park which has significant history of itself. The kids will love riding in the antique caboose and see the deer and other critters about. The place is totally run by volunteers and is a unique railroad not often seen.”
