“Great place for a nice sunset walk really close to NE Albuquerque. Be aware that it usually costs 1 - 2$ to park in cash, but sometimes they don't collect when I visit which is usually around sunset. It is always cooling down nicely an hour before sunset! There are many actual trails to go on, some are walking only, but some of them you have to share bikes with so make sure you are on the lookout for them since they speed from behind the bushes. I've never had problems with bugs so far, but it's really open so if you plan to visit during the middle of the day make sure you have sunscreen!”

“My stay at the extended stay america last night was pretty great. They checked me in with a quickness which rarely happens at any hotel. My room was at the ends of the hotel meaning if I used elevator in would still have to walk aways but to my convenience was that the side doors where available to use as long as you had your key. The room was clean and comfortable. The only complaint i have was that in the morning our restroom smelled terrible. Like as if the people above us had dogs and it was coming through our vent. Would definitely stay there again. Before I forget the front desk staff was very polite and helpful.”

“Love this park!! There's literally tons for the kids to do. Its super clean and the fact its covered is a big bonus for the parents taking these kiddos there. The only downside is its right next to McDonalds and the kids ask to go but seriously great otherwise.”

“This botanical garden is amazing! There are so many little "scapes" to explore and just BE in. The Japanese Garden goes on forever. Even with the restrictions of the pandemic, it is WELL worth the visit. They have done an excellent job modifying and adapting the experience.”

“Great small park, has an area for toddlers, older kids and a zip line for kiddos to play on. Nice and quiet. Great field to play in right next to it.”

“It is a beautiful park that has lost its glory throughout the years. People don't seem to take care of it and the city of albuquerque only seem to come by 1 to 2 days in a month to inspect it. On a great day, this park is absolutely gorgeous! But now it is usually cluttered with trash because people don't clean after themselves. It is truly unfortunate ....”

“Great little park with paved running trails that extends into neighorhood. Also some wooded trails that are more for exploring, not running. This is recent photo, August 2021”

“Friendly locals and playful pups! As a visitor from Texas on a trip with my dog, I wanted to find fun places for my dog too. This park was my second favorite after USS Bullhead Park. It was fenced in, off leash and the community there was on top of their game. Although no separation for small and large dogs everyone had their spaces and played accordingly. Bigger dogs running fast and chasing balls, smaller dogs with their own toys and hanging by their owners and other small dogs. We easily moved between the different groups for face time and walked all around this park on our own too. There was a small encounter between two dogs because of a found rawhide. But pretty quickly one of the locals understood what was going on and threw the rawhide away. We prefer grass at dog parks instead of the dirt/mulch type ground but overall this was very pleasant and a nice retreat from the car.”

“Really big lots, homes are nice but quality of homes are more on the cheap side, AC unit, garage, etc. all generic materials used for Woodside homes. Poor insulation also.”

“Worked in the area now for close to ten years. With all the eating establishments closed for dining in, decided to find a park to have lunch in. Found this hidden gem in my travels. I went back in time 40 years. This is a no frills neighborhood park, I don't think it even had public "facilities", just open spaces and plenty of mature trees to lounge under. Please don't go here......????”

“Great big & clean park! Lots of trees keep it nice and shady, very green in bloom seasons. One of the best parks in town with lots more greenery than most. Both sun down and sun up I have felt safe running into no problems with the homeless. Recently I have not been seeing much of the homeless, but when they are there they do not approach me, speak to me, or make me feel unsafe. Park has big grassy rolling hills making it perfect for winter sledding. Park is huge, the trees and hills make it appear never ending and when I walk my dogs there I will sometimes forget I'm in a city at all! Witch is a major major pro considering this is boring ol' Albuquerque. I get the sense of being in another world at this park when I'm tucked down in the little valleys and it's probably the only place I'm able to catch a little a break from the 505 without having to leave town completely. All in all this is my current go to for walking my k9's and kicking back in the outdoors on my down time. 5 stars. No complaints yet.”

“Played all 27 holes today. Really nice course, and for the inexpensive price you can't beat it. $55 for 18 holes with a cart, club rentals, half bucket of balls and a hotdog and drink. The staff in the pro shop and restaurant were excellent. The Marshall was great too, good sense of humor. Will definitely play here next time I'm in town.”

“A very calm place to take kids to kill time or have a picnic. My kids(age 12, 6 and 2) love coming here and feeding the ducks. Watching for turtles and fishes, and they even have some goose or swans here. The fowls will follow you a bit if you feed them, but they do not bite or chase. It's a beautiful scenic area”

“Any time of year this is the best park for all ages there is a large field, play area, covered picnic area, picnic tables around the park, walking trail, adult exercise equipment, and a drinking fountain. The variety of trees is spectacular during spring, summer and fall. Every park should be so lucky and well maintained as this.”
