“Fairly simple hike, lots of beautiful views. Definitely worth the hike, lots of different trails”

“We’ve been to this KOA twice now, and we thoroughly enjoy it. The tent sites are nice, and the outdoor kitchen, pool, and upgraded restrooms are great. This place has amazing views eastward over Las Cruces, and if you can catch the sunrise over the Organ Mountains, it won’t disappoint. Also, many KOA campgrounds are too close to the interstate and are extremely loud as a result. This one is just far enough away to be quiet, but close enough to be convenient.”

“Came across this hike on Google Maps and really loved it. The trails on Google Maps aren't entirely accurate but AllTrails is. I recommended taking your first right when the path splits and then navigating towards the trail to the falls. It's not easy to get lost or anything! Falls were a trickle when I was there in March but still beautiful. The rock formations were my favorite! And it's free.”

“This place is cool! Great views, pretty hike, no hook ups and lots are not all level. We have a 26ft motorhome and found one pull through lot. Only one way roads so find a spot and take it. Only 35 min to White sands. No dump station that I saw. Water avail at the gate... Bring a long hose. Will come back when we pass through. Thanks!!”

“We didn’t have much time at the park since we arrived late. Visitors center was typical. Trail that we walked about a mile of was well maintained and relatively flat. Beautiful from what we saw. Talked to the park ranger for a few minutes and he was very friendly and informative. Will come back to finish exploring and give ourselves more time here. They close at 4pm.”

“The last few miles is narrow and a little rough but most SUVs shouldn't have a problem getting there. I took my full size truck and left some pin-striping. They are there to remember good times. I lost the hiking trail a few times on the way up but my dog has a better sense of direction than I do, so I let her take the lead. Really nice hike. I've never been to an area like this so for me I found it awesome! Not a lot of people out when I went. I only ran into two couples out there. My dog enjoyed the hike off the leash but didn't appreciate the dozen or so thorns I had to pull out. The only wild life I saw was birds. I went on this hike at the end of January. No wind. A little chilly with clear skies. I did go later in the spring where the temperatures were pushing 90 plus. Bring plenty of water. I wouldn't recommend the hike during the summer months. I'll be back.”

“The best part of reviewing this camp ground is not revealing my favorite camp site! 😁 you'll have to drive around and find your own. Keep in mind that there is an upper loop which is great for camp trailers and RV's. The upper and center area for individual camping. Lower loop can accommodate larger groups. i.e scouts, retreats . Fire pits and BBQ'rs are available as well as picnic tables. Clear nights provide perfect opportunities for creative astrophotography. There is a 4 mile loop hike which is pretty awesome. It is family and pet friendly. Bring water as it is somewhat physical. Elevation may play a factor as the trails and switchbacks are plentiful. Scenic views from camp or on the tails makes for a great trip! "SIDE NOTES!" 1. PLEASE pick up your trash and place in the provided trash bin. 2. Please try and keep children semi quiet, I know its a camping place but others are trying to soak in the peace and quiet as you should too! 3. Please don't play your music loud and late into the night! 4. Leave home at home, arguing and yelling have no place in the outdoors... It's too easy to be respectful. Thank you and keep nature fun🤘”

“Nice and quiet. Some welcomed mature shade trees. Well kept. Not unkempt as some parks are.”

“Great family friendly hike. Trails are well maintained, there are multiple spots along the way to take a rest on a bench under a tree. Or group had ages 3-40 and they all enjoyed the hike. Visitor center was informative, rangers were very thorough with their information, and the restrooms were clean. There is a 5 parking fee and it can get busy in a weekend. We just went to dripping springs, next time we’ll do the path to the sanatorium.”

“This is at rest stop just west of Las Cruses. It is made of junk. Tennis shoes, computers, tires, bike parts so much more look closely”

“Awsome hike to the dripping springs! The pictures don’t make justice of the beauty of this place. Don’t do the trail just because of the springs, but for the spectacular views of the mountains algong the way! Trail is 1.5 miles (3 miles round trip) and can be done in 1-1.5 hour by people in good condition. It is a bit steep pebbely path but well maintained. There are several seats along the path with some shade too. Near the springs there is a restroom.”

“Such an amazing hike I had here ! I loved walking through the buildings so interesting . One of my favorite Desert hikes . Each trail had something cool and exciting ! Exploring the buildings made me feel like I was in a ghost town . So fun !”
