“The service and kindness of the hosts are fantastic. I walked in late, and they were getting ready to put everything away, But they didn't treat me like the guy who walks in late and means that they can't clean up yet--in fact, just the opposite. The host was so kind that it felt almost like she had been waiting for me to arrive, she made sure to tell me that if I wanted more of any dish at the buffet, they would happily cook more up for me. She checked in two or three more times to see if I needed anything. The food was delicious, The eating area was quite clean, and well-run. All the staff there were very polite, and their smiles seemed genuine and personal. The men's room could stand to be a little bit cleaner, but like I say I did arrive at the end of the day; My guess is that they had been a little bit more focused on preparing for close, so maybe they hadn't cleaned it in a little minute.”

“My wife and I were traveling north and stopped in Ellicottville for lunch. We wanted to try a new place, so we checked out 12 Gates of EVL. And we were so glad we did! What an incredible space. The manager was super friendly and eager to serve us. The selection of beer is impressive. I had the Peruvian Porter, which was tasty. My wife had a sour, and she enjoyed every bit of it. We ordered the brisket nachos. So good!! I highly recommend 12 Gates of EVL.”

“Very nice Tim Horton's with many booths and tables, a TV, and cozy (artificial) fireplace corner. Nicely decorated for the holiday season. Staff were quite busy with a long drive through line, but managed to process us officially. I got a small hot chocolate, everything bagel with chive and onion cream cheese, and a sour cream donut. All very good and up to best Tim Horton's standard. Bathrooms also very clean and smelled like cake batter.”

“The perfect small town bar! A very friendly place to stop by for a bite to eat and a drink as your passing by on Route 16. This is a community staple, and you can tell it is run with the passion only a locally owned small business can be. The menu has a nice selection of American grill style food, and the beverage selection encompasses most taste palettes with a variety of beers and canned other beverages. From the handful of times I’ve passed through and stopped in, the service has always been very friendly and the staff are eager to serve you. Highly recommend checking them out.”

They have thin crust pizza (looked a bit undercooked). And don't forget the Perry's ice cream. Mom had a "small" peanut butter sundae that looked amazing. There's outdoor seating. Aug 2022 update: they have an exceptional veggie burger. It is made with rice and veggies. Black bean is ok, but this is a great change from the usual vegetarian burger options.”

“I frequent this out-of-the-way Bar/Restaurant usually on Thursdays for their wing special and live music by Bob Muhlbauer. Any day is good, however, since I consider the food to be among the best served at Springville, NY Area Restaurants. Specials are offered on weekdays, but I have never had a plate here I didn't like. Prices are moderate but well worth it considering the quality of the delicious food served here. The servers vary, but we have never had any major issues. Most are friendly and proficient. The interior & decor are that of a dark 'cozy' bar with a fireplace lit in winter. There is a great deck in the back to dine on in good weather. There isn't any Wi-Fi here, however, there is live music on certain nights. There aren't any takeout menus, but takeout is available. You would just have to look on their Facebook site to order.”
