“Very nice sanctuary with an easy walk through the woods. It was lightly raining when we went so there was no one else around. The birds also decided to stay at home as we only saw a couple chickadees, a sparrow, and crows. We did see a pretty large hawk hanging out in a tree too. Would much rather go during a nice sunny spring day but we still had a peaceful, relaxing visit!”

Rooms were clean and spacious and cleaning service was top notch. Free bagels and coffees from 8-10am. And helpful locals can recommend ideal places to visit! “These guys saved our night out on the river this past weekend. After my boat quit running at almost 10pm a Catskill Charters boat stopped to see if we were ok. We explained our boat turned off and we couldn't get it to start. (We'd tested the coil and found no spark.) They towed us from just south of Hudson to the boat launch in Catskill where we needed to go. They were so hospitable. We had four kids, my almost eight month pregnant wife and her best friend on our boat. They invited us all on theirs and let everyone warm up in the cabin of their boat and use their restroom. Very nice boat and friendly, helpful, skilled staff.”

“My parents have a new vacation RV and they are new to the experience. This was their first time camping out of their RV. They traveled down from Toronto to visit me in Woodstock and we wanted to go camping out of it for a night. We chose this campground because it was one of the few accepting guests into late October, and it’s close to Kaaterskill falls. The woman on the phone was really friendly. The site was super quiet, we hardly saw anyone. They have a great area for kids with stuff like a basketball court, a horseshoe pit, and a game room with a pool table. It was really ugly weather unfortunately but the campsite itself was clean and there’s tons of grills for cooking EVERYWHERE. overall really fair prices for full hookups and a quiet space.”

“Fascinating area: the entire park is dilapidated and overgrown, nearly apocalyptic, but the inn itself is cozy and luxurious (with a well equipped kitchen). Lots of opportunities for exploring the abandoned buildings and taking photos. Great for a 1-2 day trip, but bring sturdy shoes, bug spray, and even a face mask in case of dust in the buildings.”
