“Great service and options for meats to grill and also simultaneously hot pot. Veggie options were fewer than other places, and not a lot of seafood. With their price point you can get much better options at other places, but for this area of town it's decent.”

“Do NOT be fooled by the outside. Yes it's derelict looking but trust it's worth it. Came here for date night and was a bit suspect based on the outside, but once you get in it's a pretty standard place. Staff was friendly and place was clean. We loved it was all you can eat for $40 a person, and note alcohol is extra. We got noodles, meat, and veggies and it was all fresh and super tasty. Well worth it and I'd come back.”

“Both our children were graduated from the German American School in Garden City. Both also later earned the Zertificat Deutsch and were in advanced German classes in their respective high schools and colleges. Neither found the German American School program overly taxing. I should add that the discipline required to excel at the school served them well in their later scholastic careers-one at an Ivy and the other at Johns Hopkins.”

“Jimmy is incredible! I took my 15-year-old Husqvarna Viking Huskystar sewing machine to him and he had fixed it by the very next day. It kept getting jammed and I didn't know why. When I came to pick it up he explained to me the structural problem that he had fixed showed me tricks to keep it from jamming in the future. He also showed me how to use some special stitches my machine is able to do, that I had never used before. The machine runs smoother than ever now and I will absolutely go back to him if anything happens in the future. Jimmy is so so so kind, warm, knows everything about every sewing machine ever made...and he is super reasonably priced. So happy to have met him, thanks Jimmy!”

“Appetizers were really tasty! However, the course meal (I got Thai chicken fried rice) was good just too salty. They are a bit expensive.. customer service as alright, they could have been more engaging.”

“Very good choice. We needed vaccines for a trip. Not only Travelers medical services had immediate appointment availability, changing it was easy too. Very helpful “front desk” both over the phone and in person. Very knowledgeable nurse that shared with us helpful information and suggestions with no “up-sale “ push.”

“Just left with an amazing bouquet! They were very nice to combine a few different ones into one bigger one that met my budget. She took time to arrange them so nicely, asked if it was a gift for someone (it was), and carefully trimmed and wrapped them. I’m so grateful! Wonderful experience 10/10”

“A lover of pastry dessert, yes I am! While visiting NYC off course I had to come to Dominique Ansel Bakery especially to try their famous Cronut. All of his desserts are made which such a detail not only in flavors but also how it is presented to you. How you will read the description it’s what it is portrayed to being served. Be aware this place gets super packed even before it is opened. People make lines at any season to buy his desserts; I know because I made a 20 minute line and it is because I went before they even opened but every single bite was so worth it! Oh yes my friend and I were sitting at their patio area at 8 am devouring many many desserts. There’s also a workshop store which I still need to visit on my next trip! Highly recommended!”

“Inspection. Got a ticket. Searched Google. Called 5 places. They told after 1PM. We showed up. They moved some cars. We pulled in. Took 5 minutes. Paid and didn’t have change to tip. They deserved it for making it so easy so if I’m in the neighborhood with cash I will confuse them by dropping it off.”

“I've been going to Jean Romano's barber shop for over 10 years when I moved to the neighborhood in 2012. I've long since moved out, but I still go back to get my haircut from Jacob. Jacob is a wonderful barber and does a professional job at an affordable price. He is friendly to clients and the staff has a ton of experience cutting different hairstyles. I would highly recommend this barber shop to anybody either living in the area or visiting the neighborhood and in need of a quick, affordable but high quality haircut.”

“Henry was incredible. He was very kind and helpful and his pricing was more than fair. He restored my rugged Bible to a place that is better than when it was brand new. He was quick, he was kind, he was very reasonable. I will not even think about going anywhere else to do bookbinding.”

“Brought in my 25 yr old sub to be repaired. We agreed it needed to be re-foamed first and take it from there. $60 total vs well over $100 everywhere else. The work was done by the end of the next day and, so far, it sounds amazing again! A little concerned about some of the glue work, but he knows far more than I do about this and did a way better job than I could have. If the repair doesn't last I'll update, but I'm currently very satisfied and enjoying some great bass again! Thank you Frank! It was a pleasure doing business with you!”

“Over a decade ago a chimney company abandoned a job midway and kept money that should have been refunded. The consumer affairs dept recovered thousands for our co-op shareholders. If you’ve been wronged, go to them with your clear and well documented case and they will act on your behalf. Special shout out to Shannon. Many thanks.”

“There is nowhere else like this. Businesses like this give the lower east side heart and keep the city interesting. Thank you for existing. I give each of my friends a stamp of their initial for their birthdays to mark the books in their personal libraries with. The store feels like walking into the owner Casey's mind, the scent of fresh ink lingering in the air, and the cherry on top being his calico cat sitting in the window watching as life passes by.”

“Very cute newish spot in the neighborhood! They have pastries, ice cream, and some hot drinks. The decor is gorgeous. I had the cookies and cream ice cream and a matcha. They were *extremely* sweet, to the point that I actually struggled to finish my drink, but it’s a matter of taste! The owner was there and he was very kind.”
