“Our Vet recommended we take our senior dog to The Vet At The Barn for a consultation to see what alternative treatments that they offer might help his arthritis and muscle weakness. We saw both a very seasoned Veterinarian who reviewed our dog's medical chart, did an examination and recommended a number of supplements we should try. She also agreed that physical therapy, cold laser and possibly acupuncture might be helpful. Next we saw a physical therapist who specializes with dogs and she did extensive range of motion testing that confirmed his joint troubles, muscle loss and weakness. She had a lovely manner with our dog, sat on the floor with him and he was relaxed and calm. She showed us proper massage techniques and scheduled him for water supported treadmill exercise. His appointment is next week so I can't comment on that process. So, the treatment people we met were kind, knowledgeable and thoughtful about our dog. The front office staff were friendly, attentive and clearly love animals. The only negative, and to us this was not a big deal, but the building is showing its age. It has not been well maintained. For us, as long as staff are well trained, their medical equipment state of the art and well maintained, the staff good to our loved one, the condition of the building is of minor importance. Thus far it has been a positive experience and hopefully, hopefully our dog will feel and do better with these interventions.”

“I have always received excellent, compassionate care for my animals at Vet at the Barn. The staff from receptionist, vet techs to the Doctors themselves have all been friendly and helpful. I sometimes have to wait for an appointment but don't mind that at all because there have been times I required that courtesy from others when I had an emergency with my animals. I think it shows their level of care that they will dedicate additional time to animals, and people, who are in need of it. Dr. Binkowski provided exceptional end of life care to several of my pets, exploring all viable options to provide the them with very best quality of life. We can not thank her or all the staff enough.”

“Otis (our 3yo male cat) had an enlarged bladder and urinary blockage. Dr. Baker immediately saw us and discussed options clearly and thoroughly despite being busy. Otis had to stay overnight for two days and we were able to bring him back his blanket and toys, observe the procedure and view x-rays, and spend time with him throughout the weekend while he had to be treated. I hope of course I don’t have a reason to bring him in again for an emergency, but if I do I will absolutely be going back to VEG in Nanuet. The entire staff at VEG are so welcoming and kind. It’s clear that everyone who works here cares about the animals they are treating and it was much appreciated during a stressful time.”

“Had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Bardari today and had Amy as my vet tech. They are absolutely amazing and took great care of my little Muki. They were super nice, patient, and gentle. I have never seen my cat so calm. They performed a full wellness exam, clipped nails, and of course showed my baby so much love. They answered all my questions and gave me good info on purchasing pet insurance which is soo important! They are animal whisperers! So thankful for them! “This place had a really bad rep when it first opened last year. Today I needed my Chipotle fix and I have to say the order, pickup and the food were perfect. Actually this is probably one of the best Chipotle orders I’ve ever had. Everything was fresh and the correct temperature, quantity and quality was perfect…. Even remembered my two tortillas for my side. A very good experience and I will return regularly now that, I hope, all the new store bugs have been worked out. As a general rule I’m a big fan of Chipotle and this solidifies it.”

They took the time to answer all of our questions they showed a lot of care in checking the dogs temperament before doing anything. Their prices are reasonable for shots compared to other places that we’ve been to. One caution which may be true of many vets is to really price shop when you’re buying the heartworm medicine in the vet office. the flea tick meds and those kind of things because nowadays you can go online and find much better buys at more than half the price of what this place was charging.”
