“I visited the Fire Island Lighthouse and asked one of the volunteers for a seafood restaurant recommendation for me and my German friend who is visiting. Got an enthusiastic tip to try B & B Fish and Clam and I am so glad I did! We started with the fried oysters. They were large, lightly breaded and succulent. The taste was a perfect balance of fresh oyster sweetness and briny saltiness, in a light fried bite that was still deliciously juicy. We also split the steamed seafood combo with mussels, clams, scallops, shrimp, and sweet corn. The broth was excellent and the seafood perfectly steamed. Definitely putting this on my Return Again list.”

“Awesome place; friendly atmosphere...it’s a hidden gem and a place that is from a genuine by gone era when pubs were down to earth and not snooty. If you’re looking for some fine grub, good conversation, friendly staff, and beer- like the real stuff, not some IPA micro brew- sorry if that’s your thing, it’s all good, but I just like a nice cold Miller High Life...and oh, it’s pretty cool to be on a canal surrounded by actual working marinas- so few of these locations are left as they are sold off to high end development and fancy restaurants. Don’t let this lull you into thinking the food isn’t quality- it is! They often have fantastic life music. Summer might be their prime season but I’m just as happy being there in the off season. “This is my 2nd time at Katch Tanner Park Beach and it just keeps getting better. I recently moved out to LI and slowly finding great places but this is one of my favorites. Just make sure you keep driving down pass the baseball fields. They have great food, I enjoy the live music, its a great place to bring the family on any given day of the week. The staff is super friendly and they have the band list for the summer already set-up. I’ve had the calamari, mozzarella stick, fries and I can’t wait to try the fried avocado! Stopped by this Tuesday and had a $25 lobster meal!. Besides a great selection of craft beers, the lobster was cooked to perfection. I definitely found one of my favorite spots for the summer for sure! I highly recommend!”

“I've been coming here for at least 6 years and I always enjoy dinner here. The pastas are fantastic (and my favorite thing to get). They have a wide variey of other entrees and interesting specials. The portions are huge for the price so we always have leftovers for lunch the next day. The service is great and the dining room is very pretty. We love to come here if it's too hot to cook in the summer, or were just lazy in the winter.”
