“Stopped here yesterday on a whim with my bestfriend yesterday. It was a great day outside and the have a great outdoor space. Our server Barbara was wayyyy beyond amazing, engaging and hilarious. I'll visit again just to see her. But honestly the fooodddd it took a lil bit to come out but it's because EVERYTHING is so fresh! I had the salmon with a parmesan cheese sauce, spinach, jollof and a pitcher of mango mimosa. My best friend had the red snapper, jollof and a side salad that she loved. Can't wait to visit at night! I recommend 10/10! P.S. you get a beautiful view of the Brooklyn Bridge!”

“This spot is our Vietnamese cuisine gem! Sadly, they’ve been closed for some time. The food is always delicious and consistent. They seat you as soon as you walk in. We even been accommodated for large parties (8+) persons. The place does need a cleaning as I’ve seen flies flying around, and it has a dingy appearance. The host and our waiter is so friendly and funny! He runs the floor by himself at times and we can see his stress but he handles it well.”

“My family took my Mum here for Mother’s Day and it was a very pleasant experience. They were super busy but provided us with enough delicious bread to hold us over till the food arrived. The mussels in white wine were amazing and perfectly cooked. We had the lobster ravioli and the penne alla vodka. The sauce was fantastic and we all enjoyed the flavors of the dishes! The service was really good. There was one guy who had red hair that was very attentive and friendly! Give that mofo a raise! If you’re in the area and looking for some good food in a very nice dining area I highly recommend Michelangelos! I’d definitely come back again!”

“Stopped by Mikes on our way to Canada after seeing all the 5 star reviews and we were not disappointed! We got the OG platter, all the meats were tender and cooked to perfection. Even better than the food was the service. Mike greeted us as soon as we walked over and continued to check on us throughout our time there. He even offered us samples of candied bacon (to die for) and cowboy baked beans. My husband isn’t normally a BBQ fan and he loved it! Stop by if you get the chance.”

It’s not somewhere you’re gonna order intricate cocktails, have a business meeting, or read a book. It’s a young bar with loud music, cheap drinks, and sports on the TVs at all times. Jake’s Dilemma has some negative reviews on Google & Yelp, but I think most of those people just had unrealistic expectations. Also, a good chunk of those reviews are from 4-6 years ago, and I think things have improved since then. “Being from Chennai, I've always loved kothu parotta. I've known it is famous in Sri Lanka, but never had the chance to taste it as part of Sri Lankan cuisine until now. The Cheese Kothu was great. The owner of the store was a nice person who loves sharing his story and was very kind enough to make sure we like what we're eating and suggested different sides. They also had many srilankan groceries that were worth learning and browsing. The journey to Staten Island was long and Staten Island looks very deserted and weird but the food was worth it.”

Had the mix platter which pleasantly came with seasoned french fries, chicken tenders, and a side of regular fries. Overall, the food was good and I would go back for more and even try their shawarma, which they didn't have any when I visited. Also, I'm not a huge fan of spicely stufd but their green sauce is really awesome. It's got a consistency of chimichurri, but with a kick. Definitely need to try that if you go to his place. Pricing was on par for other halal places I've tried so I felt I got my money's worth. Staff were friendly and accommodating. I would definitely come back.”

“This is an old school croatian club/restaurant. It's such a hidden gem!. You really feel like you are in a old world kitchen/restaurant. Our server was so kind, helpful and welcoming. The food was surprisingly good! We had the mixed grill plate, veal gnocci and black squid ink risotto. It was soooo soooo sooo good. The flavors were simple but well developed.
