“I visited the Fire Island Lighthouse and asked one of the volunteers for a seafood restaurant recommendation for me and my German friend who is visiting. Got an enthusiastic tip to try B & B Fish and Clam and I am so glad I did! We started with the fried oysters. They were large, lightly breaded and succulent. The taste was a perfect balance of fresh oyster sweetness and briny saltiness, in a light fried bite that was still deliciously juicy. We also split the steamed seafood combo with mussels, clams, scallops, shrimp, and sweet corn. The broth was excellent and the seafood perfectly steamed. Definitely putting this on my Return Again list.”

“My husband and I stopped in the other day. The food was good however I do have a few critiques. I got the grilled chicken salad which was very fresh and a decent size. The chicken was on the bland side for me and it didn’t seem to be grilled at all which I was looking forward to. My husband got the Jambalaya he loved it! I however felt like it was lacking slightly in seasoning and spiciness. We got the Brussels sprouts & fried pickles to share they were good. Last we got 5 chicken wings each to try I got plain and my husband got hot they were very good. And this may not be important to too many people but their tap water was very good and the lemon wedges they gave me in my water was fresh and a nice big slice.The cook and waitresses were very nice and accommodating, over all it was a pleasant experience.”

“My friend Cathy and I set out today to go to the Bacon Bash in Montgomery, but two wrong gps entries, and a few doses of Divine intervention, directed us to BRIANS BACKYARD BBQ. Aside from Brian's bbq and dessert being authentic, homemade and delicious, His Place felt comfortable, like we walked into a close childhood friends home. Good vibes....good music in the background.... great conversation..... Brian was wonderful to hang out with and shared many interesting stories with us ... *Something magical about the atmosphere, the same Magic I felt that guided us there..... A *Special Place... “I heard so many great things about this restaurant. I took my son, who is 11 yrs old. I tried the bowl Harissa avocado. He tried to build your own bowl rice romaine lettuce and chicken veggies. I have to say the flavors and quality were so delicious. I was so happy to feel full of healthy choices. My son said mom we have to come back. I agreed with him. This location had great parking. I just wish they had someone to clean the tables off. It wasn't a problem, but every other table was left with crumbs or food. Please try this restaurant for delicious food..”

“Quite literally the best wrap/gyro I've had in eons. Everything from the food, to the service was just pure bliss. I ordered their Beef-cheese-caramelized onion wrap(I don't know what it's called) and take my word for it, I have had a lot of wraps in my life and this sure is up there. Incredible food/service / owner. Just wonderful. Attached picture however, is of their olive falafel special platter, which too was amazing. Do come by! :)”

“One of my local friends recommended this place. I went for lunch because I heard it was hard to get a reservation for dinner. It is a cozy and intimate Italian restaurant. Honestly some of the best Italian food I've ever had (I'm 100% Italian). The sauce was deep red, not too sweet or acidic. The veal parm was Crispy fried and super tender, melted in my mouth. The prices are surprisingly fair and affordable for a restaurant of this quality. Will definitely be back if I'm ever in the area again.”

“Fast, friendly service. The food was presented very well, delicious and on the smaller size in terms of portions for lunch. We sat outside on the veranda overlooking Lake Chautauqua. We had a humus appetizer to start, then I had the watermelon gazpacho soup ($14) and my husband had the Chicago hotdog ($15). I had ice water and my husband had a coke. The only drawback was the food was pricey for what we ordered, but we paid for the view and location. $49+ before tip.”

Usually I don't enjoy salsa much but their house salsa was very nice. Loved their guacamole, when you order it as a side it comes in a cheerful, little green tortilla shell bowl that you can eat. It was very cute. Prices are not high like other places and we left full and happy. I will gladly return another time. The food I saw being served to other parties and the menu pictures all looked great. I kind of forgot we were on Central Ave. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're in a clean, fun, quaint and well loved establishment. I love finding hidden gems. I was having a terrible day and my experience at La Fiesta turned everything around. What a pick-me-up! Thank you La Fiesta!”

“Everything, all at once. This brewery has an amazing layout with a tap wall, yard games, ax throwing, simulation golf, and a great dining area along with a dedicated bar. All the staff seem very friendly and helpful however there seems to be some lack of management, as many of them were standing around looking confused most of the time. There were plenty of customers to keep everyone busy. We were blessed with an attentive waiter who made some excellent recommendations. All of our food was properly prepared and came out in a timely manner. The space is laid out extremely well so there is plenty of room and all of the activities I mentioned above do not interfere with each other. You will have no problem sinking into a quiet corner, or having a blast with a bunch of friends. The establishments seem very clean and well organized.”

What I remember is that the Garlic Knots needed a little more garlic and salt. One thing I liked about previously living on Long Island is how the water there makes the dough taste better. Amazing though for me to see that the Knots picture is my highest viewing picture at over 368K views since posting it, but back then they weren't the best part of the meal. The best part is the atmosphere and location of the restaurant. We miss and still love Northport. Even after living in Colorado for the last 22 years, when we get back, we come to Northport to eat, socialize and enjoying the local establishments. “Cool place to stay for a couple of days if you don't lose all of your money in the casino downstairs. The room was clean and had heating and air conditioning with a nice shower, all for a fair price. I did go in the off-season for the horse racing and would like to experience it more when it gets more popular later in the year. Casino is only virtual tables and slots with no real dealers, but my wife and I still had fun making money on Roulette, then losing all the earnings. And don't forget the pool with a hot tub.”
