“A gem amongst the downtown area. This place is very peaceful with plenty of areas to sit and enjoy the scenery, meditate, or read a good book. The flowers are gorgeous in early spring and worth a trip to see every year. The tombstones are neat to see, dating back to late 1800s on some. The weekend can be busy due to it being a popular photo backdrop for proms, senior pics, etc but weekdays are less crowded and my favorite time to go.”

“It's a very small park that located close to living houses. It has children playground, few benches and place for barbecue. Also a small volleyball area. This park had fountain with drinking water but it's not working right now. I was a bit disappointed I expected this park should be bigger. But anyway it's nice foe people who live close by”

“This was our first experience boarding our dog. Over his week long stay Paco enjoyed his playtime's, went on walks by the river, and had a bath that left him smelling so nice. He was all smiles in his pictures, and I was at ease with the quality of care he received from the team. Any time we contacted them with questions while we were away, they were happy to reply, and didn't leave us waiting for hours for a response. We will 100% be using Tuscarora's again in the future.”

“Awesome and simple trail. Very neat and cut path the whole way. The first part begins in a large hilly cutover and then cuts in to a nice peaceful covered area. Round trip is around 2.8-3.2 miles”

“This trail runs along the river for several miles. As such, the climbing is kept to a minimum. The trail is very well maintained with no weeds, loose rocks, or anything else that would slow down a nice walk or trail run. This trail also features a kayak launch only a short distance from the parking area so, if you are able to kayak, keep this location in mind!”

“Had a great trip! Even with cold rainy weather we thoroughly enjoyed staying in Cabin 6 (has big front steps but it closest to bathhouse!) Lots of area to explore. My parents joined me and my 3-year-old. Beautiful trails and ideal views of the changing leaves without having to go far from home!”

“With the passing of Keith Barnes we worked closely with Lamar, Dan, and Maggie. Between the three of them the process was made much easier! We could not have done that without their help. Exceptional service and knowledge with all aspects related to our needs. We highly recommend Cabarrus Funeral Cremation and Cemetery. ...The Barnes Family...”

“We have lived in the Charlotte area for 7 years and just discovered this park. It's my new favorite. The play structure was huge. My 4-year-old played nonstop for 2 hours but I also think my 9-year-old would have a great time here. Another bonus is that the little kid play structure is right next to the big kid one so I could watch all the kids at once. The only downside was that the play structure is near a lake and there's no fence. It's far enough away to give you running room if a kid bolts for it, but did require a bit of extra diligence.”

“It very nice and quit. Not a lot of people or kids around. It not huge were you can lose your kids, but it does give you opinions.”

“Great greenway with two connected playgrounds if you take the full loop. Most interesting part is the section down Union St. which has amazing historical homes that may come as a surprise to Concord residents that haven’t seen it before.”

“We are somewhat of park enthusiasts, but this one is a favorite! My kids, ages 12 down to 4, all enjoy the large playground, with plenty of climbing and room for imagination. I love the paved path that goes around it, where I can walk the dog, while not getting out of the kid's sight. A lot of parks have both, but few put them so close together. The Little Free library is an added bonus at any place we go!”

“What a great find! This is a fun place to bring the kids for an afternoon or all day. Starting off with a train ride around the park you are able to take in what this park has to offer. Next move on to the 2 story carousel that is under cover for those sunny days. Moving on to the splash pad where your kids will have fun for hours. The only downside to the splash pad is limited seating for adults and small changing rooms. Finish the day with a visit to the play area and amphitheater.”

“We live in Mooresville and make the trip to this park a few times every year. Never very crowded and packed with stuff to do. Perfect for kids up to about 10 or 11. Carousel and train rides are $1.50 and open in early April ok Saturdays and Sundays. Splash pad opens Memorial Day weekend, and is open every day starting in early June. The playgrounds are in good shape and keep my kids busy for most of the time we are at the park. Usually, the main lawn is off limits in the spring so the grass can grow in time for the park concerts. Super clean, well kept shelters, recycling throughout, bathrooms in good shape.”

“It is an amazing park! Clean well kept and has great facilities, has a great bike/hiking trail that runs through the woods! There is a great play ground for the kids and multiple pavilions where activities and birthday parties can be held. Wide enough area were large Groups of people can be. The entire park is about 15 acres! Plenty of restrooms as well! Which is a must!”
