“We ate here for the first time tonight after having driven by it a million times. The restaurant is in a small renovated house that is easy to miss when driving by, but after doing some research on new restaurants around us we found Wine Sellars Bistro and decided to give it a try. It was hands down one of the best meals we have had in an incredibly long time! Everything from the olives, olive oil and bread given in the beginning, to the appetizers, main course and desserts were completely outstanding. Bravo to the chef and the staff, we will definitely be back!”

“I've always been a fan of Cookout because it pretty good and always hot. Cookout has been my favorite place for milkshakes since I was a kid. Whenever I have one somewhere else, I always compare or reference back to Cookout. I love the Cookout Style grilled chicken and of course the burgers. I do wish they offered more variety of burgers. Gourmet style burgers would set this to 5 stars for me.”

“Went on a Sunday afternoon when every other place is packed full and impossible to get in. They told us right away that they are short staffed with waiters and kitchen. BE PATIENT WITH YOUR SERVICE WORKERS! Even though they were short staffed, they were so nice, checked on us every time they walked by and refilled anything we needed. The food was fantastic- fresh, hot, and flavorful. Sounds silly but the best refried beans I’ve ever had. We would usually go to don juans like everyone else, which is great, but this will definitely be my first choice from now on with how awesome they were. Give them a chance & use your patience 🥰”

“We have been looking for good barbecue since we moved back to the Piedmont from the NC Coast which is the land of Eastern NC Barbecue and a number of wonderful barbecue places. While Smiley's is not Eastern NC barbecue, it is moist with a wonderful smokey flavor. It is moist without being wet and the sauce or dip as they call it has no ketchup in it thankfully. I have eaten at most of the barbecue restaurants on the NC Barbecue Trail. Smiley's is as good or better than many of them. I think it is better than some of the famous ones. The place does not look like much from the outside but inside it is very clean and well maintained with a high sanitation rating The service is excellent and we felt like members of the family by the time we left. I had the chopped plate. I brought home half of it. The peppery slaw is very good as are the fries and the fried okra. The hot-from-the-fryer hush puppies were great. We will be going back and hauling some home to serve to friends. I am pleased Smiley's is only 25 minutes from my house. If you take the time to look, you will see the pile of wood by their smoker. I was also pleased to see they serve Pepsi products with their barbecue which is as it should be in North Carolina.”
