“I first discover this park in trying to find a place for my family reunion. The next time I went we just walk around the park for a workout. We discover the community gardens on one of these walks. We were allowed to come in and visit the grounds. We were so impress we asked how do we go about getting a plot. We got the phone number and call for next years plans to be a community gardener. This an Organic gardening experience and it has been great. My sister and her husband has a plot there and we love it. The soil for the garden bed is furnished by the city. We have a greenhouse for starting seeding. Tool are available, for gardeners. It a wonderful place to grow your vegetables and meet other gardeners.”

“Great hiking trails which are fairly well marked. The bird and butterfly meadow is wonderful and has mowed paths for meandering through the meadow. There are also owl boxes and we have gotten to see many owls in the park!”

“This park is a hidden gem. It's quiet and ideal for socially distanced outdoor activities. There's many sport courts: tennis, baseball, basketball, soccer, volleyball. There's also a playground, horse arenas, picnic areas, clean restrooms, little free community library, and much more. This peaceful park gives access to charming hiking and horse riding trails. The lawns are very well kept.”

“Such a pretty park! Quiet and peaceful, and it seems that not everyone knows about it! It has two playgrounds, a large pond, a few small trails, a very nice walking path. Dogs are allowed. There is also an amphitheatre which makes for a beautiful wedding - my husband and I were married here two years ago. The office staff is also very friendly.”

“First of all the fishing is phenomenal. One of the best fisheries for bass and crappie in the state of North Carolina. Second, the staff was amazing and helpful. My car was running into issues in the parking lot and the park was closed. The staff helped me with everything until midnight and I was able to get home. I really appreciate the awesome service! Definitely would recommend this place.”

“I love it here! It is never overcrowded. It's a great place to walk, relax in your car, cookout. Whatever, you name it. There are plenty of picnic spaces, gazebos, restrooms and playgrounds at both ends, tennis courts, volleyball courts. If you have your fishing license, you can fish. I go here to walk. I also go here to just sit in my car and think. If you've never been, you should.”
