“We were in town to walk the Lake Norman State Park and stopped in for lunch. So glad we did! The food was delicious. Everything was hot and fresh. The brunswick stew was amazing. The side of fried okra was enough to share. White slaw was very tasty. All around everything was on par. Even better they serve Coke products. We were even treated to a serving of banana pudding for our first visit. Unfortunately, neither of us noticed the cash only sign... we were so embarrassed. With no cash or means of taking cash out at their ATM.. we had to promise them that we would mail a check (which we sent yesterday 11/27).”

“There are so few of these places left which makes this one an even better find. Extremely friendly with great southern comfort food. This is all you can eat so bring your most comfortable britches. It's a cafeteria style line. The fried chicken is what seemed to have the most notoriety on the menu and it didn't disappoint. Beans, beets, cabbage and such were all savory and accompanied my meal perfectly.”

“Traveling from SC to VA my son had one request, Pizza. He had just graduated from Army Basic Combat Training earlier that day. We could have stopped at any old pizza place and he would have been happy. But I always prefer local places. What a great find in Pellegrino's Trattoria. The restaurant was clean and inviting.
