“I am a Baltimore native living in Charlotte for the past 9 years. This is the first time I have ever been able to find GOOD seafood like we have back home. The lake trout is my favorite because I would normally have to go back to Baltimore to get it, but now it's right here in Charlotte. The owners are friendly and seem to go out of their way to make sure their customers are happy. The owner even came outside to greet and welcome everyone to the restaurant when they open. I will definitely come back here for the food as well as their customer service. Kudos to the the owners. It's also a black owned restaurant that I am more than happy to support.”

“Sabor NoDa is one of my go-to restaurants in Charlotte. It’s the perfect place to grab a nice bite to eat and a drink. Service is always quick. I love going in the warmer months and sitting outside on the street of NoDa. Prices are good for what you get. My favorite is the Tacos and Nachos. Finding parking can be difficult at times, but it is worth it to get some food and enjoy a stroll in NoDa.”

“This place is magnificent! First time diner, I was pleasantly treated to a polite, friendly, attentive staff quickly provided my food. I choose the brisket. Oh my, what great juicy flavor while maintaining a solid, phenomenal bark. I especially liked the mustard based brisket sauce. Great sweet tea, the collard greens were delicious as well. Parking can be difficult but that's understandable for a place this good!”

“I've been hearing great things ever since this place opened. We were not satisfied after a recent meal, so wet decided to stop here for some dessert. We got a sweet potato pecan bar and a caramel peanut butter bar. We absolutely loved both of them. It made me want to go try more of the pastries, but I had to cut myself off. They both had unique and delicious flavors. This is a cute little neighborhood hangout. They have coffee, beer, food, random knick knacks. I can definitely see people coming here to work during the day. I've actually been dying to try their sandwiches, so I'll definitely be back soon to try those. This is unique place to check out!”

“Food was amazing ????. Charlotte needs places like this amazing food for a good price. The wings were so memorable. Best wings I had in long time.”

“I love, love, love this place. There are so many beers that you cannot find anywhere. The best part is the staff knows beer! They can guide you through the droves of beer and make stellar recommendations. The food here is really good too however, sometimes the wait can be a little long. It's a nice grab and go place but there is also seating inside and outside. Inside can be a little cramped with other shoppers but it wasn't bad.”

“Lake Norman Cottage is a hidden gem with a wonderful selection of wines from all over the world and unique gifts to browse through. It’s a great place to stop in and grab some nice wine and cheese – or even gelato before you set out on the lake.”

“Personable and high level of service by wait staff, unique and well-executed dishes that were fresh, hand crafted and delicious...and cocktails and wine that were divine! This is one of my favorite places for the full package from a restaurant: atmosphere, service, food & beverage. Top notch! Thank you for a wonderful experience! (hint for locals: go on a slow night, attentive service & quieter)”

“Pretty easy to get a seat on an early Saturday evening. Ambiance was really nice and the service was pretty solid. The catfish crust was a little too crisp for my taste, but the collard greens and grits were fantastic. Very creamy collard greens. Chocolate cake wasn’t to my liking but I’m sure others will enjoy it. Lovely views and parking was pretty easy, as well.”

“Pretty great but not fantastic. The pricing is appropriate for the service rendered and the quality of the food which is terrific most of the time. Very consistent and I like the atmosphere”

“French Market reminds us of trips to Paris. Staff very friendly, fun and helpful. Place is warm and cozy. Nice place for food, drink and conversation. Has outdoor tables. We tried peanut butter melts and chocolate caramel salted bark. To die for. Give this a try you will be pleasantly surprised.”

“Sangam is a good, if fairly standard Indian restaurant. The dishes are not very adventurous, and if you go frequently, you might tire of it. I prefer other Charlotte area restaurants, that are worth the drive. But for something tasty and dependable it's a good choice. For those driving down I-77, it's a good bet for something more exotic than the normal steaks, burgers, ribs, and fries. Most dishes are pretty spicy, but not killer. Staff is very friendly and professional, and the seats are filled with an interesting array of people.”

“You gotta get the Thai wings!!!! Best I have ever had. Salads are good too but pricey! Overall a great experience here! I would definitely recommend this place!!!”

“Probably the best Latin American restaurant in all of greater Charlotte. This little gem serves family friendly, but authentic Latin American fare. The food is really fresh with high quality ingredients. I've lived in Texas and New Mexico and can say this is one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever tried. The service is super friendly without feeling rushed and they have a great and extensive kids menu. You will also have the satisfaction of supporting a local family run restaurant and not some soulless chain restaurant.”

“Everyone enjoyed their food, I had the duckling and it was perfectly cooked. Service was good. I only gave a 4 because when they boxed up my leftovers they didn't include my potatoes. I intentionally left potatoes for the rest of the duckling, but when I arrived home no potatoes were included. They were very scrumptious, so I was disappointed. I definitely would recommend & will go back again.”

“Delighted with the calm, serene, and beautiful environment, and friendly, courteous and swift service. Thai house was a wonderful and welcoming place to stop for a late lunch while traveling through the area on business. I enjoyed the Namprigpaow lunch special with the vegetarian/tofu option. They were more than willing to offer a higher spice level than a six, when asked. I chose a 10 and was not disappointed at all with the full, rich, and delicious flavors of my meal. Will definitely return again, when next in the area!”

“The food was great. The mint chocolate chip brownie was awesome for St. Patrick's Day. The smokey mountain sandwich was very good too. The hot pepper jelly and cream cheese combo add a wonderful flavor to the sandwich. It is a nice and cozy place with good food.”

“Wow! Really great restaurant and a nice intro to Charlotte food. Had the burger which was way juicy with good flavor. The rooms Nixon rings were also nice. What topped it off was the bread pudding which was over the top. Maybe a bit too sweet but my wife loved it. Service was great. Will return”
