“My wife and I visited The Wild Onion on Saturday evening. We were there when they opened at 5 PM. There were several people already waiting for them to open. I admit that I have been by this place many times and hadn't paid much attention to it because it never seemed to be open when I was there. It turns out the are only open a few days each week and open at 5 PM. The restaurant is a quaint little place with a lot of character. The first thing I noticed was how clean it was. Then, I could smell the good food that was cooking. This is a family style restaurant. If you're not familiar with that, it means that they serve the sides in bowls for the entire table with unlimited refills. Their menu changes depending on what fresh food they have available. All of the sides come with every entree. If you order a vegetable plate, all the sides are included. I had a steak. It was very good. My wife had the vegetable plate which included squash, black-eyed peas, cucumbers, and hush puppies (they call them something else that I can't remember now). We finished the meal off with dessert, which is also included with each meal. Everything (includind the desserts) are homemade and delicious. The service was outstanding as well. I think we have a new place that will be added to our favorites.”

“I am pleased to say I highly recommend Coaches. Today for lunch Tonya was our waitress and she was very polite and helpful. Topped off our drinks, brought condiments and offered anything we needed. She was a wonderful waitress with perfect timing to ensure we didn’t need anything! Probably the best waitress we have ever had at Coaches. I understand that everyone is short staffed these days but it has been a long time since I had such a great overall experience. Also, Mary, the cook came out to give me extra wings as she said she only gave me 7 instead of 8 in my wing basket. I would have never even noticed the wing count but she said she wanted to make sure my order was right. That shows going above and beyond to me to make sure the customer was happy. It’s the little things that truly make me want to return to a restaurant and these two ladies made a great mark on me!”

“This place is a great find. Our waitress Ellie suggested the dish called “Polliyo” when I asked about getting some peppers added to ACP. WOW it was incredible! The dish also had zucchini and it was super yummy. The owner was so kind and told us that most of the dishes are named for good friends (some who have passed away) and it was very sweet to see him smile in remembrance of his friends. “My experience with Japanese restaurants in shopping centers hasn't always been the best - it's pretty hit and miss. This one was a hit. We got a ton of food for the price, and it was all very good. The best part was absolutely the carrots - I could eat those by themselves! They are delicious - the perfect amount of sweet without being too sweet and tender without being mush! The broccoli and zucchini were also very good! The place was clean, even the restrooms. A waitress came by several times to make sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stop in again!”
