“My wife and I visited The Wild Onion on Saturday evening. We were there when they opened at 5 PM. There were several people already waiting for them to open. I admit that I have been by this place many times and hadn't paid much attention to it because it never seemed to be open when I was there. It turns out the are only open a few days each week and open at 5 PM. The restaurant is a quaint little place with a lot of character. The first thing I noticed was how clean it was. Then, I could smell the good food that was cooking. This is a family style restaurant. If you're not familiar with that, it means that they serve the sides in bowls for the entire table with unlimited refills. Their menu changes depending on what fresh food they have available. All of the sides come with every entree. If you order a vegetable plate, all the sides are included. I had a steak. It was very good. My wife had the vegetable plate which included squash, black-eyed peas, cucumbers, and hush puppies (they call them something else that I can't remember now). We finished the meal off with dessert, which is also included with each meal. Everything (includind the desserts) are homemade and delicious. The service was outstanding as well. I think we have a new place that will be added to our favorites.”

“Ordered the steak yakisoba and orders of sushi’s rolls (shrimp mango rolls and California rolls topped with spicy mayo). Recently they opened their restaurant to dine in and to order in. While covid was still more prominent they had the door shut with a window to order to pick up from. They’re dine in is now a self service, so you’d get a cup for your beverage and dispense your own fountain drink.”

Chicken was steaming hot and fresh not over cooked and tasted great, the sweet & sour sauce seemed to be different than other Chinese restaurants and was incredible nice sweet taste to it. Cant wait to try it again! The onion Fried Rice although could use a little more onions still was incredible. Egg Roll was nice soft and also tasted great! Great value for just $7.00”

Everyone was nice, bartenders were great and karaoke singers were good too. One negative...i would open the small section reserved for lunch I think...open it up for more seating and patron interaction....maybe a dance floor lol. Anyway shout out to the owner...you have a gem in such a small town. We will be back!!”

“We love the family meal here. It is a great price and has a little taste for everyone. I truly enjoy their soup and chicken dishes. The owners are very nice and the food is typically ready when I get there. I give them about 20 minutes and I do not have to wait. Every time I visit they are busy with many other happy customers. We do not eat here too often but I would say once a month. Yummy just thinking about it.”
