“This was my first time at Sammy's Tap & Grill. We has a business lunch with 5 of us. Our server greeted us promptly and took our drink orders. He made a recommendation based on what one of my co workers was looking for. He was spot on. It is definitely a college bar. If your looking for a relaxed atmosphere and good food Sammy's is the place for you. On a side note NC States head women's basketball coach was having lunch 2 tables over from us.”

“I’ve ordered food from here through GrubHub at least 10 times. Each time the quality and portion sizes have been consistent. This has quickly become my favorite Chinese place. Food is always hot, seasoned well, cooked to perfection, and is always delivered in a very timely manner. Every dish I’ve gotten so far has not made me sick, like some of the other reviews. Which I’m thankful for, because I tend to get sick easy from food. I’m already looking forward to the next time I order.”

“I don’t normally review gas stations. Mostly they’re all the same. But this gas station here is my local go-to and has been for some time. The staff is usually attentive and friendly but today I was pretty astonished by a small act of kindness. In hindsight I wish I would have gotten her name, but today I stopped in to buy a couple packs of cigarettes, smoked one before leaving the parking lot and set the rest of my full pack on the windowsill. It wasn’t until a couple hours later I realized what I had done, and I swung by on a whim hoping they would still be there. I pulled up and to my dismay, they were not longer sitting outside, but I went inside to ask the cashier if anyone had turned them in. She turned around to where her personal belongings were put away behind the counter with a smile and pulled out a pack of Newport 100’s. It may seem like a small thing, but it wasn’t her job to set them aside in a safe place for the remainder of her shift to see if anyone would claim them. It really made my day. From the outside looking in you might think there isn’t anything special about this gas station, but I would have to argue that you’re mistaken. Most of the staff with a few exceptions make coming there for whatever you need; gas, a coffee, tobacco, a pleasure. I’m really happy to be in a neighborhood with such kind and thoughtful people. If you ever need anything and you’re out near NCSU don’t hesitate to stop in.”

“It was an evening destined for some experimentation, and we were craving Mexican fare. We wanted to venture out of our norm to try a different spot in town and chose El Cerro. We called in and spoke to a super friendly staff member who politely took our order. We asked for take-out and she said give it about 15 ton20 mins. We drove there, and as I walked in I noticed some covid related signage to keep patrons safe. As I waited I noticed there were quite a few folks there, but all following protocol sitting every other table, etc. Cleanliness was on point, which is always a plus! The hostess got my name, brought back my order, I paid and I was out the door in under 5 mins. We kept it simple, ordering 2 Tiras de Pollo entrees, which is my staple when assessing the quality of a Mexican restaurant. I opened the food bag and was appeased by some quality looking plates with some chips / salsa on the side. The Tiras de Pollo was nice, but could have used some more flavor or seasoning. Don't get me wrong, it was still good,, but could have been great. Everything else with the meal was great. Overall, I plan to venture back and try other parts of the menu soon. Don't shy away from El Cerro!”

“Really good! They made it totally fresh (which is expected) and it was so good. I can’t say this about many chains that use chicken as a filling/topping but... I love the chicken here. I got the chicken fajita and it tasted quality. The veggies were great on this and I love how they always provide marinara. Pretty good price for how much food you get.”

“This place is certainly my go to for chicken wings or late night snacks! Have been coming here for years, enjoy everyone who works there (especially Kelly and Erin!) and have never NOT enjoyed my food. The boneless wings, wraps, tots, and potato skins make me incredibly happy. Have eaten at the bar, at the tables, outside, and ordered to go, no complaints whatsoever. Try the boneless wings with the Garlic Parm Ranch... It's my favorite! Great daily specials (i.e. $1.50 boneless wings on Wednesday, $1 off wraps on Friday, $3 Fireball shots on Sunday)!”

“I can only say good things about the Nafkot Ethiopian Restaurant. They have done a fabulous job renovating the space and have made it very welcoming and cozy. And the wall mural of an African safari is incredible. The food was fabulous!!! It was some of the best Ethiopian food I have ever had and the portions were very generous. This place would be a great place to take a date for a unique experience.”
