“The Positives: Bowling is fun! There are lots of lanes so we didn’t have to wait, and even if we did, there’s a bar! The decor is fun. The Tennessee Hot Chicken sandwich and waffle fries were great! I got a free cookie sundae for my birthday. Yay! The Negatives: Don’t get the pizza. Just don’t. The Cuban was dry and not very good. It was $51 for three of us to bowl for an hour, which was expensive to me. Our food bill was $80. I gave it 4 stars because I did have fun, but next time I won’t bother with eating there.”

“As a so cal transplant (San Diego) this place really brings me back home. The only thing I wish was different was I wish they had a Durham location too. :) It's very authentic southern California style Mexican food and the service is quick and easy with plenty of places to sit at this particular location. “I came in on Thanksgiving eve. I didn't think to ask if they closed early. There were 3 young ladies working extremely hard as they were busy and closing in just a couple of minutes. There were 7 or eight people in line. One of the employees even changed gloved and got new lettuce because a lady said her friend had onion allergies. I can not speak highly enough of the 3 women working at this location at close even working still after close. I live 35 minutes from that location and just happen to stop on my way home from work. I hope the young ladies can get some sort of recognition. I did tip them but they definitely went above and beyond. Same I can't give more than 5 stars. They are the definition of customer service. I tried to call the store after I ate to thank them yet again but I guess they had already left.”

“Even though this pace might have it flaws it’s a decent place to come eat. Waiters are not rude and are friendly. My mother is a waiter at this restaurant and she dose the best to be friends with every customer she comes upon on. And sometimes waiters can find a babysitter for there children that they have to bring them. And don’t be racist about Hispanic people in this restaurant because if it weren’t for them you probably wouldn’t have enjoyed this restaurant.”

“Shane’s is not bad for a fast food style BBQ. I like it better than Dickey’s as they have some more interesting menu options and their prices are in touch with reality. My only negative about these guys is the consistency. Sometimes steak fries, sometimes crinkle cut. Sometimes wing sauce is spicy, sometimes it’s mild. Sometimes there is way too much sauce, other times its lightly sauced. The staff are great and friendly. And I love somewhere that leaves sauces out for you and doesn’t make you beg for them. Except ranch, you have to beg for that and they will still forget to give it to you.”

“This was my first time at Sammy's Tap & Grill. We has a business lunch with 5 of us. Our server greeted us promptly and took our drink orders. He made a recommendation based on what one of my co workers was looking for. He was spot on. It is definitely a college bar. If your looking for a relaxed atmosphere and good food Sammy's is the place for you. On a side note NC States head women's basketball coach was having lunch 2 tables over from us.”

“Had lunch today at San Jose, and it was delightful! Wonderful to find decent Tex-Mex in this section of Raleigh. Don't hesitate to get the lunch plates: they're gigantic! The chips and salsa were flavorful and my grandson (only 3 years old) couldn't get enough of the crunch! He liked his chicken tenders, too. I had the burrito bowl and it was more than I could have possibly eaten in one sitting. My daughters were impressed with their choices, too. I'm sure we will go there again!”

“We've been to both locations and love them both. This one is more of a restaurant. Really good food, great beer selection, super friendly staff! We had a few apps and a personal "everything but the sink" pizza. The pizza was AMAZING. The chicken cakes were really good (you get 2 to an order) and the croutons which were just pizza crust pieces and marinara (wouldn't get those again). The Bill and Ted Excellent Adventure Amber Ale is my favorite beer there. We go everytime we're in Raleigh.”

“This might be my new favorite place! We came on a whim with our two young kids and had the best experience. The food was absolutely fantastic, service was excellent, and despite being a nicer restaurant it was still so kid-friendly. The kids menus kept them entertained, and the restroom actually had complimentary diapers and wipes, plus a step stool for kids to wash their hands. We were in and out quickly (without being rushed) and got one of their fantastic cake slices to go. Highly recommend!”

The salsa bar was truly a beautiful thing and I found myself grabbing at least one of each to try with everything! Must tries: tongue taco, blew my mind with how tender and flavorful. “Bojangles has truly impressed me with their breakfast sandwich! My husband and I stopped in on a Saturday morning and I ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit meal. I'd never tried their breakfast menu before - I'm a fan now! Bojangles biscuits are light and fluffy with the right amount of golden crust crunch on the top. The sausage patty is well-seasoned, and the egg is cooked fluffy. You can tell it's a real egg and not a frozen egg patty. The hash browns are packed with potatoes and are very filling and the grits are on point! Even though it was traditional breakfast hours, my husband was able to order a dinner platter with chicken and rice. The staff is very friendly and personable and we enjoyed the ordering experience and conversation. We'll definitely be back to this location soon.”

“I’m giving them 5 stars. Not because they have exceptional service as most people might think. But because even when they mess up they always make it right. They are human and they have been dealing with staff shortages and other things. I remember I ordered pizza close to the super bowl and after waiting for 2 hours I called the store, the manager and entire staff had walked out and there was one person trying to run the entire store and make all the orders. Instead o canceling all of the orders (which would have been fair considering the circumstances) he was there trying to clean up the mess. I ended up picking up my order instead of having it delivered to make things easier. When they do good they do good but they make mistakes like any other business. The important thing is when they do, they always make it right. I will continue to order from them because of this. I have 5 hungry kids that love them some pizza. We need to remember everyone is human and subject to error. A little kindness goes a long way! Thanks for always doing your best and for making it right when you don’t.”

The chicken was a single thigh that was seasoned well and cooked perfectly, but I've had better funnel cakes. It was a tasty treat, but it was quite expensive for what you got, as is often typical for food trucks.”
