I know that Mike Gedert is a guy who works with folks in that process in order to help them thread the financial needle so that families are not left with crushing debt, so that the are not exposed to wealth decimation as a result of extended care or end of life. He is like a combination of a social worker and a financial planner that guides people through the last few hurdles so that they can focus on their families as they transition, rather than financial obligations.”

“Wow. Obviously there is nothing easy about a funeral but Hodapp made everything go as easily as possible. They were so amazing and helpful throughout the whole process. The helped guide us in making personal choices for my dad and that really helped me get the closure and peace I needed to accept his passing. Odd but I felt excited for my dad by the personal, unique choices Hodapp helped us make. Not only that, when Hodapp first took possession of my dad after his passing, he was in *rough* shape. When I approached his open casket, I cried tears of relief. He looked SO AMAZING and I didn't think that was possible. I finally felt like my dad was at peace and I was able to have a good lasting impression of his physical being. “Sadly, we lost a beautiful member of our family to breast cancer, Rachel Tenney. We would like to thank all the staff at Colligan Funeral Home for helping her children honor " her" wishes. Rachel attended Zion Lutheran Church during her childhood with cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and great grandparents. As she looked back on the many happy memories, during those years, she expressed wanting her services to be held at the church, she loved and grew up in. Due to Covid 19 there have been different guidelines put in place at the church. These align with the current laws, set forth by the Governor ie: checking temperatures, social distancing, number of people gathering in one location... etc To keep everyone safe as possible, Zion Lutheran Church implemented their own guidelines for funerals and church services not Colligan Funeral Home. During normal times, there would have been more ushers to help family and friends locate the sanctuary and funeral procession. Because of Covid 19, we had one family member volunteer to usher. On behalf of our family, we apologize for your inconvenience. In closing, we want to thank Colligan Funeral Home. Ann, you helped Rachel's children honor their mothers wishes. “My mom and dad purchased plots from Dawn Valley from a door to door salesman in 1971. It seems that was their preferred method of shopping back then as I have the dictionaries, encyclopedias and brushes to prove it. Lol. They purchased based on location as it was near Bush Lake, which was a center point of fun activities we were doing as a family during the time. I imagine they also chose DV, because it is beautiful, tranquil, and surrounded by nature. This review is based on my mom’s funeral last week. Planning a funeral is no fun. It’s overwhelming, because of the timing and the unknowns. I can say without hesitation that my parents chose well. The staff of Dawn Valley was amazing. They made the process easy, smooth, and stress free. We feared pressure sales. Never did this happen and it was made clear throughout the process they would work with us and it would be perfect. The funeral itself was beautifully done. They chose a wonderful minister, who despite never meeting my mom made us feel like they knew each other. All in all, for a hard thing to go through they made it seamless and stress free. The perfect day for a immensely loved and missed mom. Thank you, Dawn Valley!”
