“Love the history here! They have done an amazing job on this park! I was shocked about the remarkable architecture and everything to look at! They even have a nice sitting area. I have always loved walking along the beach, but now it is more inviting than ever! I recommend walking up the pier towards the lake! It is a beautiful sight to witness. Make sure you stop and read all of the placards that are now up! All kinds of history is there.”

“Great park and handicap accessible for a good amount of it. It's not as difficult as some other trails in the area. Paved sections and a ramp to access the lookout area in the meadow. Extremely clean, including the bathrooms! The trails do eventually turn to dirt paths but this was enough trail for me to enjoy without becoming too strenuous. Also great place to bring younger children.”

“Quiet and peaceful setting. 1st time visiting any of the great lakes, searched on Google maps for a public place to visit and went because of the reviews. Visited late afternoon on Saturday, cooler weather, so only 3 other people there. Felt like I was looking out into the ocean with all the seagulls flying around. Park was clean and well maintained.”

“I took my sons fishing for the first time here. It's a very nice setup for children fishing. Make sure you bring a small hook because the fish are small. My kids saw a snapping turtle and started to feed it worms. Then we walked down the trail to a river. Pretty nice park”

“This is a great park. Its small but surprisingly the kids play well together here. I have seen almost 30 kids at one time playing. There are two or three benches and only one table under a small Pavillion. So plan accordingly. The bath rooms or the trash always adds a strong odor to the air around thr Park at times, you know depending in the direction of the wind. There was also a swing for kids with different abilities, and that is gone.”

You basically can find someone to ball with any time there isnt snow on the ground. The splash pad could be bigger, but it's still fun for the little ones. Thanks to the mayor it is actually open now during hours that suit a working parent.”

“There's a baseball field here, and a dirt road you can wander down for maybe a mile. Nobody really goes here so it's a good place to wander and be alone, but there aren't any amenities like space or playground equipment. There is a Pokestop and a gym for those who play Pokemon Go.”
