“The place was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived till the moment we left we felt welcomed. It was a birthday trip, I had called ahead and they decorated the room and even had a piece of cake in there for when we arrived for my Boyfriend. The bed was so comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. Heidi and Dan were all around amazing. The breakfast was delicious. I’m usually not a fan of new things but i tried the specialty breakfast both days of our stay and they were out of this world. We even forgot a few things in the room and they called and had them shipped back to us. We will be back.”

“The Old Vermilion Jailhouse is completely unique and completely charming. We stayed overnight after dinner at Chez Francois. If you are a couple or a family of four, this would be a cool place to stay. While not a traditional B&B, hosts Markos and Marla provide a well-stocked mini-fridge, and they have a lot of supplies in the bathroom, including earplugs. The Jailhouse is right next to railroad tracks, but I didn't find it overly loud. Markos was great to work with and we can't wait to come back in warmer weather!”

“We stayed here in the upstairs unit 2C, it is a low frills, clean, place. The owner is working on upgrades as the place had a slight smell of a fresh coat of paint. The design of the suite is somewhat eclectic, sort of a retro beach shack idea for many parts of it including the unique corrugated metal shower and the various surface boards. A pleasant stay all in all with some need for minor tweaks and upgrades in order to improve on what they currently have, but, a good value and a great base for activities around Vermillion and the Lake Erie shoreline.”

“This was a great little family campground. The tent spaces were on the small side. You are up close and personal with your neighbor. We stayed during the week so we did not have any neighbors. The campground is in the middle of farm land which is so peaceful. There were a lot of activities for the kids. We were there to have a place to stay while going to Cedar Point. This was perfect for that. The bathhouse is well maintained. There were workers attending to new renovations as we stayed. It is great seeing owners keeping the facilities well maintained and improving them.”
