“Had no idea there was a walking trail here that does a short loop through a very pretty stand of remarkably mature Sugar Maple, Beech, Ash, Oak and Hickory. Loved the native prairie habitat on the way in. Asclepias, Rudbeckia, and Echinacae all stood out.”

“My husband and I were going to picnic at a park down the street from here, but thanks to a swarm of sports fans attending Bengals Training Camp, we couldn't go to that park and had to find another. The International Friendship Park was a few minutes away, and it was our first visit. Part of the parking lot is cut off, but there was enough parking, and that's considering that it was a Saturday afternoon and there were multiple joggers, dog walkers, cyclists, and a wedding party taking photos. Other than crisscrossing pathways, there are benches, trash cans, and a few odd structures to see. We picnicked close to the Castle of Air, which is the mirrored structure in the photos attached to this review. The park seems to be themed around various parts of the world, but it wasn't entirely clear why or what was unique about each section. I should mention that the far left (if you're facing the river) part of the park seems unfinished. It's mostly unwieldy grass surrounding a worn pathway, and upon walking through it to the other side, we discovered a shaded area with a building that was reserved for some event. So the park does feel unfinished and a little exclusionary. Overall, this was a decent park that provided my husband some opportunities for photography, but its theming isn't clear and it does seem to be grasping to find its own identity. Still, not a bad way to spend an hour or two if you love parks with paved places to walk or play.”

“Very nice, peaceful park. The only downside was the smaller play area but it is still a very nice park with decent shade. There is even a shaded walking path around the diamonds. Plenty of cute lizards too! It looks like the park used to have a water feature where the rocks are near the sand but it is all dry now.”

“Wow.. It's a great playground. Well maintained. Small creek nearby. Walking trail and close to Sharonville community center. Wheelchair accessible. Restrooms on-site.”

“I was not expecting to find a park here, and I certainly wasn't anticipating it to be so interesting and beautiful! There's roughly a mile of trails, if that matters to you, but more striking are the gardens in the center of the park and the ruins hidden throughout the nearby woods. This place was fascinating and eerie. The only downside is the prevalence of poison ivy. It's not on the path, but don't wander unless you're paying attention.”

“Beautiful park with 0.7 mile walking/running loop, tennis courts, basketball courts, open lawns, swing set, and 2 cookout shelters.”

“A huge and wonderful park that has an 11 story observation tower, a large pond, a creek, slides, playground equipment, a zip line, walking trails and more. Every kids dream. Well done!”

“The heart of the village backed by the beautiful Community Center. I may actually be within a large city, but there I feel like I'm in a small town. Of course I'm prejudiced since I live in Greenhills.”

“The lady who worked taking cash for putting in boats, was very super nice. Hot day, my husband grew up down there, the lady offered us a cold water. Super nice and friendly, very impressive.”

“Really nice walk. Obviously this used to be a golf course. Many varied paths. Not very busy for a really nice event on a walk. Easy to talk as you walk without always passing people.”

“We have stayed here before in deluxe cabins, but those have been removed. The rustic cabins have AC and power, and can sleep 5 adults (2 twins, a full and a twin bunk above the full). There is plenty of room for a queen air mattress or an additional table if you bring one. Porch has two plastic chairs, not most comfortable. There is a fire ring and picnic table. The camp ground is very well maintained, has a good playground. One shower house for everyone, but it has great water pressure and water temps. Lots of things to do in the park to keep kids and adults happy and busy. The camp sites are really nice and shaded The RV sites are level and they do have full hookup sites available and a dump station. Definitely worth a stay however you can manage it, even as a weekend get a way if you are local.”

“Love coming here with my pups, they enjoy all the open space to run around. Rainy days are the best time for us to come, so peaceful and beautiful. Occasionally it can be a little too crowded, but what can you expect for such a great park.”

“I’ve been waiting a while to review California Woods because I wanted to have the right words to express how much I love this place. It’s kind of out of the way for a lot of people I think, which means there’s never too many people here. I like it that way because you can always come here to enjoy solitude. A lot of parks I go to don’t have trees that are very large. This place has massive trees. They make me feel so small and evoke a sense of wonder in me. There is a such depth to the topography as well. The high ridges and deep ravines create this sense of contrast of altitude which makes the forest seem so expansive, while the canopy above makes it feel like sanctuary. It’s so nourishing for the soul. And if you have the chance, walk the meadow trail to see the big wild meadow where hummingbirds, dragonflies and butterflies abound. It’s magical! Also, walk across the rocks and pause to hear the babbling brook. There’s so much variety hear. I couldn’t fit it all into one review.”

“Fernbank Park is wonderful! I go there often to walk on the trail which is paved and scenic. Restrooms are clean and parking is plentiful. There is usually a nice breeze off the river and seating along the river side to watch the barges pass. There is also a nice playground for the kiddos. When the weather is nice, there is a brewery and a restaurant on the other side of the road open spring and summer for lunch and dinner.”

“Great light hiking trail. A pair of new gym shoes could probably get you through alright but nice hills and creeks. Good number of dogs”

“Seems like it could be cool. Could be better maintained, especially the area you have to walk through to get to the trail. I understand preserving natural wildlife and plants, but don't have trails if you don't want them hiked. Seems to be a recurring issue with most of the Western Wildlife Corridor trails.”

“We visited in December and found the lake and grounds extremely clean. Nice birds visited near us, slow bite on the fish. To our surprise the bathrooms were open and clean,, yay! We'll be back for sure to check out boat rental and get on some fish.”

“There a bell tower that plays 1.5 hour music shows on Sundays at 2pm starting on the first weekend of June. There's a picnic shelter and child play place next to 2 open baseball diamond fields. The bell tower first floor is a restroom for men and women should you need that convenience. Limited parking, about 5 spots plus 1 handicap spot so do not count on parking. The park is about 6 minute walk from the heart of the town and you can park in the town.”
