“We really enjoyed our 1st experience at this simple but cozy campground. I'm so familiar with bigger state park ran campground so I was unsure of how it would go with a smaller family owned campground. Unfortunately it had rained quite a bit before we had arrived and that is completely out of the owners control. When we arrived we were told that our campsite was submerged in water but they did not hesitate to find us another location to set up for the night. (I wouldn't expect this at a state park campground because it's usually a get what you get situation) It was a very small corner that didn't really look like a campsite but luckily it was just the 2 of us and we are pretty flexible people. They even found us a fire ring and brought it over. It definitely added to our adventure and they even let us use the electric box next to it even though we had a primitive site originally. The lady was working super hard to accommodate the requests of every person on the campground. It seemed like she was the only staff onsite and she was a very patient lady. We would like to come back for the customer service alone. Thank you for the memories!”

“Great place for a grown up getaway! Not a place I would take little ones if you don’t plan on heavily supervising to keep them from getting into stuff/redecorating. We had a good time with family, well decorated for the holiday. Mood was set well with music lightly playing upon arrival. Lots of little note cards in important places around the cabin letting you know how to operate equipment. I was not directly involved with check-in/out process but was under the impression that there was mention of fees for this that and the other, making the whole process a little scary for the person in charge, they were in fear for their wallet. We would visit again for sure!”

“The cabin was wonderful and Jake was the perfect host! He answered all of my questions right away! We especially loved the hot tub and wrap-around porch. Would highly recommend staying at The Shamrock. Jake has a more modern cabin that we plan to stay at next time we rent a cabin in Logan - it's called Sweet Serenity.”

“Beautiful and peaceful setting. We checked in after a hike in Hocking Hills and it was so nice at the B&B, we canceled our Next hike to further enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Manner overlooking Lake Logan. We saw deer, an eagle, and other water fowl. We then ordered Pizza-crossing at suggestion of the owner and had a fire pit and a great evening. The next morning they served us a wonderful breakfast and we heard interesting stories from the owner. We would come again.”

“Gorgeous cabin. Had a family vacation here. Plenty of great scenery. The pond was very relaxing. We went for a walk at dusk and saw 3 deer. The back porch is amazing. Plan on returning next year.”

“We stayed in the Sieri Glen Cabin. Solid, well-maintained cabin at a GREAT off-season price. Perfect layout, cozy furnishings (though the mattresses can use updating), and up to date kitchen fixtures and appliances. Lots of quality soft furnishings and linens, and they were all impeccably cleaned. The linens, towels, and blankets all smelled wonderfully April fresh. It's obvious the owners really care about the cleanliness of their properties, which we greatly appreciated. Not a lot of frills - you'll need to bring your own hand soap, sponges for doing dishes, towels (for an 8-12 person cabin, only 6 bath towels total were supplied), and hangers if you need to hang up clothes (no dressers). The pots and pans have definitely seen better days - and those days were somewhere in the early 2010s - but we had brought mostly casseroles, so that was okay. Thermostat is for some mysterious reason right next to the fireplace, and there don't appear to be multiple sensors. So warning if you go there in winter and you light the gas fireplace: any place that is not open to the great room will be COLD because the thermostat will think it's already 76 degrees in the house. There's NO WIFI, so heads-up there. However, the cabin offered all the Direct TV channels you could ever want, and a DVD player is available. Hot tub and fire ring outside were in great shape, and porch seating was also adequate and comfy with lots of rocking chairs. However, we had to bring a couple of those rocking chairs inside because the living room seating was not adequate (3-person couch, 1 armchair, 1 recliner, and the 2 futons downstairs were way too heavy to attempt to relocate). The cabin is in a really nice location, with the valley floor laid out to the back, and a great view of the nighttime sky. You can see other cabins surrounding in the distance, so you feel secluded, but not alone, if that makes sense. If you're an experienced "cabin-er", you'll likely be fine because you'll read the description thoroughly and be fully prepared to bring all your own creature comforts, whatever those may be. For people for whom this is your first time in a cabin, just be aware that amenities vary greatly from cabin to cabin, and you may have to think really hard about what amenities you can't live without during a long weekend, THEN look for a cabin that fits those requirements. For us, this cabin was an excellent value and we had an excellent time!”

“We loved our time at Hike Away Hills and didn’t want to leave! The cabin is gorgeous and has every amenity. The hiking trail right off the porch was a great way to start and end our days! We enjoyed identifying the many birds serenading us, and were amazed by the flying squirrels! We can’t wait to come back!”

“Great place to spend a weekend with friends. The place we rented (16851) was huge and easily accommodated 8 adults - 5 different families. We could fit more! The grounds were smaller than expected. The pond and hot tub had a bit to be desired. Included plenty of TVs for a sports viewing weekend and also has a theater room - not used. The owner was very personable and down to earth. The cost was very reasonable for the size of the place.”
