“Wonderful people, employees, and campground! After leaving early for a breakdown that we needed to travel to have repaired, Deer Run was gracious enough to work with us if we needed to come back after leaving for repairs, and gave us our same site back when we returned! They were awesome to work with and a beautiful community! Thank you and we will definitely be back! Tim & Terri Terry”

Fort Saint Clair Park

Address: 135 Camden Rd, Eaton, OH 45320, USA

“Beautiful park. Driving thru the park was lovely. The road thru is one way, lots of curves and small hills which I loved! There are a few shelters for eating...I'm not sure if you have to reserve. There is a playground area. Parking areas so you can walk around the park. There was a cross country event going on so we didn't walk around like we wanted. I'll check that out next time.”

Woodland Trails Wildlife Area

Address: Eaton, OH 45320, USA

Park

“I go birding here fairly regularly. This is a nice wildlife area with forest, prairie and a few marshes, but it's primarily managed for hunting. The trails are not mowed during the breeding season, so the grass becomes quite tall and hard to walk through. I'm excited that the ODNR has purchased the rest of the scout reservation, there's lots more to explore. Overall its a nice area, I just wish there was better access for the average hiker or birder.”

Rush Run Wildlife Area

Address: 1989 Northern Rd, Somerville, OH 45064, USA

Park

“This place was pretty cool. Very quiet not alot of people, but there was ALOT of stumps in the water that kind of made it creepy because I was in a kayak lol and it was so close but still cool place”

Wagers' Memorial Park

Address: 1301 OH-725, Camden, OH 45311, USA

Park

“Nice park of historical significance near a bend in the stream "Paint Creek." This location is known by locals as "Devil's Backbone." Historically, the beautiful area and surrounding hills was a camp for Miami (Myaamia) people prior to white colonization of the area. Park Details: There are two short walking trails. The one to the left/north is longer and goes up a hill and the one to the right/south is short. A few garbage cans are available, but last time I visited the portapotty was gone (just mentioning as a precaution for those visiting). Gate is often closed during open hours, though. Open hours are daylight hours.”

“Wilderness Ridge Retreat Center and Catering has been so easy to work with from the very beginning of wedding planning. The facility is beautiful, the employees/team is incredibly kind and helpful. My fiancé and I did our menu tasting a couple of days ago, Case (the chef), answered every question we had, was able to accommodate our needs and was so light hearted and friendly. If you're looking for a catering company with DELICIOUS FOOD and amazing staff, Wilderness Ridge is the best option! :)”

The campsites are spacious and your not on top of each other , we had a group of 20 people and never felt cramped! There’s so much for the kids to do (basketball court, pool tables, swimming hole, kayaking and paddle boat, fishing, frisbee golf) they were entertained and busy the whole weekend! The staff is so sweet, your greeted with a smile and so helpful with any questions or request we had!! She even helped me out with my coffee fix 🤣🤣☕️☕️! “We stayed in one of the small cabins with our two toddlers for an event and we had a great experience. The cabin was cozy and it was great to have a mini fridge and private bath with our little ones. The bed and pillows were also really comfortable. The grounds were great and had plenty of room for a variety of outdoor and indoor events going on at the same time. The owner was really great and we enjoyed the on site pizza place. We are looking forward to coming back again and checking out some more of their events.”
