“TLDR: Run, don't walk, to Nicole!! And it's amazing that you can go from looking like death after giving birth, to being somewhat back to normal the next day! I left the OB practice I was originally going to after only a handful of visits due to the way I was being treated as a first time mom. I felt like I was just a number, and the last visit I had with them made me feel subhuman. It was the last straw. I found Vine of Life when searching for an alternative to the "traditional"/"normal" hospital birth. I went in for a consult to see if it was a good fit. I was greeted by Jessie who was just the sweetest! In the office, Nicole and the rest of her team were waiting. Everyone introduced themselves, and it felt like I was already among friends! I went over my concerns that were ignored and ridiculed by the OB practice, and Nicole said that she had dealt with other mothers with the same condition. I instantly felt at ease. The OB visits lasted a whopping 5-10 minutes... The initial consult with Nicole was almost an hour!! When the consult was over Nicole came over and gave me a huge hug. I knew I was going to have her be my midwife. As I walked out to my car, I broke into tears of happiness... I felt human! Each prenatal with Nicole and her team was always over a half hour long! Getting to actually know the people who were going to be with me in such an intimate time was amazing. When I went into labor, I called Nicole who answered right away. I told her what was going on, and she wanted a call back when my contractions were more regular. By the time they were, I could barely speak so my doula called Nicole... She and her team were at my house within 20 minutes! The support and care I received during my labor, the birth of my baby, and after was better than I could have imagined! Afterwards, Nicole and her team cleaned up EVERYTHING. They even did our dishes, and did laundry! The next day, I felt like I was pretty much back to "normal"! I feel like my recovery was fairly quick after giving birth to a 8+lb baby because of the choice I made. Leaving the OB practice and going to Nicole was one of the best decisions I've ever made!”

“I had to get a root canal. Never having one before I was extrememly nervous to the point I was getting a headache. When I entered the office the receptionist was very nice and greeted me by name. With little wait I was taken back to the room and Dr. Joel came in. He was so nice and explained everything that he was going to do for my visit. As the procedure was going on he told me what was coming up next. He made the whole expericence an easy process and worry free. Everyone I met at the office was very nice. The credentials and accomplishments needed to receive this National 5 star rating was evident to us while our 94 year old dad was there for his Rehab stay. We are extremely happy with our choice. This facility is exemplary and top notch in providing support, personalized care and positive interactions in all areas including the Executive Director, Physicians, Medical Records, Director of Nursing, Social Worker, Wound Care, Nurses, Aides, Rehab Therapy, Dietician, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Activities. Also, the minute we enter the front doors of this facility to visit we are welcomed with receptionists who are friendly and kind. The entire staff on all daily and weekend shifts are all 5 stars! There is not one staff member in any area of this facility that doesn’t offer the best quality care. All are skilled and knowledgeable in their area of support and expertise, easily approachable, kind, pleasant, caring, responsive to all needs and offer great communication with family. They have all exceeded our expectations. Our 94 year old dad was always provided with the highest level of care in the areas of daily skilled medical attention, assistance with personal care, getting in and out of bed, wound care and rehab services. Also, the coordination and transportation efforts for going to outpatient appointments was outstanding. This facility is clean and we feel our dad had a low risk of getting an infection in this facility. Our dad has been in other rehab nursing home facilities and there is no comparison. Altercare Post-Acute offers impeccable services and we also rate them 5 stars.”
