So many scheduled fun things to do you could partake in or just do your own thing floating in a pool or roasting a marshmallow over your campfire. “This is by far the best place to stay on the island! The owners are the nicest folks and great cooks! You won't find a cleaner place anywhere in Northwest Ohio! They have golf carts for rent and free bicycles so getting around is never a problem. The gardens are spectacular and the location is great for a weekend getaway. Highly recommend.”

“I loved this location across the street from Grand Lake St Marys. It was a beautiful view from my room and very quiet and peaceful. The manager exceeded in customer service with a smile. He helped me with a few things I needed, like taking my ice packs and putting them in the freezer for me and checking my tv because I couldn't figure out how to make it work. There is an Fraternal Order of Eagles club across the street on the lake that had a band and a restaurant. You must be a member to enter the club. There is also a Moose Club next to them. If I was in the area for anything, I would stay at the Americas Best Value Inn Celina.”

“This campground is lovely, has a lot of events to keep you happy and entertained if you enjoy being busy. Great owners/employees who know everyone and are very welcoming. Great playground areas for the kids. Always something to keep my kiddo busy and having fun, also an arcade that she loves. Great neighbors that have become great friends. We moved from a nearby campground mid-season, losing out $ on that one, but was well worth it with what we received from Shawnee. Love this campground and can't imagine a better place for us!”

“Rick has always been amazing. From getting me quarters for on site laundry, propane during the horrible freeze last December, or just a wave as he drives by on the golf cart - Rick is a friendly and professional host. Our space was more than adequate for our 40 ft 5th wheel and vehicle. I never felt cramped or like the neighbors were too close. The lake has so much to offer -swimming, fishing (our granddaughter loved to fish), diving, jet-pack (seriously - you can fly over the lake!). I would definitely recommend Lakeview RV for a weekend, or a longer stay.”

The pool and game room were a hit with our kids (1 to 10 years old) I would be going back time and time again Great restaurant with a great selection, reasonably priced, and Great price on kid's meals More things to do in the spring and summer , but it's the perfect winter getaway for a family. Fully contained. Staff rocked.”

“Great place for a grown up getaway! Not a place I would take little ones if you don’t plan on heavily supervising to keep them from getting into stuff/redecorating. We had a good time with family, well decorated for the holiday. Mood was set well with music lightly playing upon arrival. Lots of little note cards in important places around the cabin letting you know how to operate equipment. I was not directly involved with check-in/out process but was under the impression that there was mention of fees for this that and the other, making the whole process a little scary for the person in charge, they were in fear for their wallet. We would visit again for sure!”

“The owners were so friendly. They made you feel like you were part of their family. The place is comfortable and you will feel at home. I stayed for 5 days and nights. The rooms are good size and very clean. There were snacks and drinks. Janet checked on you to make your needs were meant. They were both accommodating. My trip was to Ohio in mid Nov for a family emergency. Everyday Janet always asked how my sister was doing. I would recommend anyone to stay at Gels.”

“This is a fabulous place to go! 🌟 🌟🌟🌟 I’d give it five stars but we miss not being able to park & get out to walk around. 🚷We’d take pictures of the family, look inside the tiny holiday houses on display, and, OF COURSE, cookies with Santa! ♥️📸 🏠🎅🤶🍪 The most fun for everyone of all ages is The Santa Cabin! This had been one of our Christmas traditions for many years. All the volunteers were friendly & the Christmas magic in the atmosphere was like a warm thick fog of holiday perfection. 🎄🥰🕯️ It is sad & very disappointing to see the “new norm”. I, as well, as many others, hope this is not permanent 🙏”

“After reading some of these reviews, I thought maybe it was time to share my review of the Ranch Motel. And I know this place well, having stayed at this motel at least 100 nights over the years. The owners are fantastic and treat me and everyone else who lives there (many people live there, and some have lived there for years) just like family. They are very kind to me and all I must do is phone them and they ALWAYS have my room ready whenever I arrive. The rooms are clean, and I have never encountered the issues that some here have complained about. I know for an absolute fact there is an exterminator who sprays each room monthly for these issues. Rules? EVERY hotel I have ever stayed at, and I have travelled the world extensively, has rules. If you are disturbing other guests or destroying their property, of course they are going to ask you to leave. If rules bother you, stay home where I am sure you also have rules you have your guests follow. This is a quiet, clean motel that is well run by people who care about the safety of their guests. I will ALWAYS stay at the Ranch Motel and am thankful this is a fantastic motel for me to safely lodge.”
