Small but so much told of the history here. The train is close enough to touch their is picnic benches down by the water and you can even see what's left of the old town holding jail
Small park with interesting equipment on display including a Shay locomotive. Limited street parking.
Small, quiet, city park in downtown Vernonia, Oregon. There is a picnic table, shade trees to rest under during got summer days, and a beautiful old steam engine to admire.
The park sits next to Rock Creek.
This is the weekend of the Vernonia Jamboree and the weather is perfect. There is a large crowd and lots of food trucks. All of the local businesses are open and the swimming hole in town is so inviting. The car show and the parade are always fun to be part of. How lucky we are to have this wonderful town to come home to every night. It is fun to watch the jamboree and all of it's participants come to town each summer. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible.
