(August 14, 2022, 1:36 am)Came here w/family friends to enjoy camping.whether by rv/camper or just by tent.Does have playground..bathrooms w/showers(showers take quarters).Has a charging station for electonics.a covered picnic area.Can go on bike rides.A grocery store and gas station nearby.There's Hawkins park which also has play structure...a kiddie pool and a swim hole.Most places literally walking distance.
It's been somewhat a tradition to come here every year.
(August 3, 2022, 3:35 pm)Nice city park RV Park. Right off the Nehalem river. The park hosts are extremely nice and go out of their way to keep the park clean. All of the RV spots are 50 amp with water & sewer. Lots of really nice tenting spots that are full on the weekends. If you have any problems, the camp hosts are available
It’s a 4 block walk to some surprisingly good restaurants and 2 blocks to a nice hometown grocery store. Right on the Banks to Vernonia asphalt trail and the Scappoose to Vernonia Crown Z trail. The city creates a summertime free swimming pool on Rock Creek about 5 blocks away.
Be aware that weekends are busy, so make your reservation early.
(July 7, 2022, 12:00 am)Really nice campground in a great little town! Newly painted bathrooms! Nice playground and covered area. And the river is always a nice, cool place to play! Grocery store 2 blocks away for necessities. Friendly townsfolk!
(June 28, 2022, 8:38 pm)It was a crowded weekend but we managed to get a hook up spot for one night for our Class B Motorhome and then a tent site for the next night. The hosts, Bob and Dorie, went out of their way to accommodate us. They are super nice people who are doing a great job as hosts. And Bob, if you happen to read this, I noticed that there is a growing wasp nest in the door of your truck on the passenger side.
