“Today was a very stressful day for us. We went to the dump to drop off some stuff, and then our car got stuck. However, not only that, but it started to overheat pretty bad. The gentlemen working there not only helped us get unstuck, but they made sure our car was able to make it back to the front, and even went above and beyond to give us some coolant. They were just all-around amazing gentlemen, and we were blown away by their generosity. Customer service isn't exactly something you're looking for when going to a landfill, but they were just amazing in every aspect.”

“Although small, this site is a foundation stone of colonial Pennsylvania's industrial development. The connections with William Penn and the Society of Free Traders add to the wonderful storytelling at home.”

“I am a direct bloodline descendant of John Morton. I grew up visiting the homestead all the time as a kid as I only lived a few minutes away from it. It is interesting knowing you are tied to such history; and to someone who signed the Declaration of Independence. I was in town recently for my father's funeral and passed by it. It definitely needs some upkeep. A must for local history buffs.”

“This was my first time visiting here. The pieces are mostly American Post Modern by the Wyeth and McCoy family. Children will enjoy the model trains and doll house. Current winter exhibit includes Christmas Trees decorated with creatures created by volunteers using materials found in nature. The grounds next to the Brandywine River offer a great walk along a trail the follows the river.”

“Went for The Great Pumpkin Carve. It was fun, albeit a little pricey. It can get crowded but from the feedback I've heard the flow of traffic is much better this year. We enjoyed the pumpkins and it was a lovely evening. Wear shoes that are appropriate for trekking through the mud.”

“A very informative tour through a location that is steeped in Revolutionary War history! Not being my first time through, I reintroduced myself to the staff and made sure to take a tour of the Christian Sanderson house, which was used as Washington's headquarters during the battle of Brandywine. Great staff, amazing history, a must visit it you into Revolutionary War history and should be included with your travel plans in and around Philadelphia. Well worth the travel in and out. Beautiful picturesque vistas makes the drive worth while!”

“I visited the colonial Pennsylvania Plantation on Pirate Day. It's an excellent place to bring kids to see what a farm looks like. They have people doing reenactments of different chores and tasks that might have been done in colonial days. It's very inexpensive $10 for adults $6 for children I posted a picture of the hours so you can see what the hours are. Very convenient from Philadelphia West Chester Downingtown Delaware.”
