“As simple Appalachian Trail shelters go this one was fine. There is a privy and water that they are both nearby. Plenty of tent sites a little east of it if you don't get in. The trails to the north and south are both pretty Rocky. When we went there were a lot of people day hiking and backpacking through the area”

“Just signed up for my third seasonal year and I’m very glad I found this place. I have no experience with the previous owners, only the new ownership. I’ve been camping for over 40 years all across this country (not always in campgrounds and never as a seasonal until just recently), and I’ve been to some great campgrounds and most of these places are fantastic, save a few. The owners here go above and beyond, however. This is a family owned and operated place and the owners (Jen & Bumper) can usually be found running the store where you check in (well stocked full of that stuff you forgot or just forgot you couldn’t live without), or you may find them busily setting up events and running them or delivering much needed firewood for those campfires. I cannot say enough good about them or how they run this place. The other seasonal people that are here are friendly and if you’re looking for a better group to hang out with, good luck. Other campers that come and go with their family’s I see having great times. Maybe a first time family trying something new or a group of friends (or family) always have fun that I see. Many repeat campers with kids, riding bikes, having great times in a safe environment. Did I mention the gameroom complete with pinball and the ice cream they sell? Love sneaking in there for a few games! 10.01.2018”

“It is another laundry place. Machines work well, good variety to choose from for washers and dryers. Coin and detergent dispensers available. TV for viewing while you wait. Safe location and parking lot”

“I just enjoyed the freshest Italian sub I've had in a long time. Who thinks of using cherry tomatoes that actually have flavor over large tomatoes that taste like plastic? Napoli's. And the roll was fresh and lightly toasted. My only disappointment is that I live over an hour away. What a great find.”

“I had a wonderfully prepared dinner. Short ribs, fries, cornbread and slaw. The ribs were good, as they should be, the fries were one of the best I've had, with a lot of crunch, and the slaw was nice with lots of vinegar. It's a bit empty inside, a function of the location, and inside a tad dated. But, nontheless, the atmosphere was still pleasant.”

“I have been visiting my best friend here off and on over the last 7 years and I am happy to be able to call this home now. Once I have my pics I will post again. The office staff have gone above and beyond to be helpful and understanding of me and my long drawn out personal problems. I am happy and unburdened now of the worry about where will I live. I was able to seek refuge once through a hurricane and again after an awful windstorm. Both times power was out for maybe a half hour ,hurricane, and then maybe a little longer but not by much, the windstorm. As for a place for “old people”? Really? I am 46 years old, and am so very, very far from “old” This is a stigma and frankly hurtful especially when ignorance is responsible for saying “old people”. I have seen beautiful sunsets, sunrises, slow falling snow, happy trick or treaters, happy dogs, and happy people of all ages. Some of my best memories for two mobile home parks are when I visited my grandparents and my one Uncle. Mobile home parks are small communities; mostly quiet, mostly helpful, mostly beautiful and Its like anywhere else.. issues with people and their inability to stay out of business that is not their own, sometimes its a dog owner who ignores the rules, sometimes its parents who just tell their kids to go outside, sometimes its moronic drivers etc.... sometimes its a stranger who will help you shovel, sometimes its a neighbor who will help with carrying groceries, sometimes its a visitor who stops and gives a stranger a ride because they shouldn’t be walking in 90 degree heat dragging huge bags. This is a place full of all of these things and more. I cannot wait to be a part of the experience.”

“This was one of the last legs of our two week driving vacation and I picked it on a whim. What a lucky find this was. The grounds were beautiful and the room was large and very cozy. We ate at the club house and the food was fantastic. The fried chick peas were a really surprising treat. The staff treated us like we were full blown members of the club. It was an absolute treat. If your in the area looking for a great place to stay I would suggest you give them a call.”
