“This was a rare gem in the middle of farm country. It was two indoor softball fields. With a large deck on for spectators to watch. The tournament we attended was well organized and ran very smoothly. Also, this is only about a 10 minute drive from restaurants and fast food places. Being just outside of New Castle, you can drive into New Castle to get good food, gas, snacks, etc. However, the venue would ask you to purchase food and drinks from them and have signs posted that you are not supposed to bring outside food and drinks in. The concession stand has sandwiches, hot dogs, pepperoni rolls, pop/soda, Gatorade, chips and candy. Prices are very very reasonable! (I was afraid they would be expensive, but it really wasn't).”

“Went here yesterday on the 4th. Did the 4hr trip. They ferry you from Layton to Dawson where you put it then float yourself back to Layton. It was a beautiful day on the water. Other than the many large groups who were also out partying which was great as well, there were no other boats out so all us kayaks and canoes had the river to ourselves. Typical daily rates for the short trip are 25$. Since we went on a holiday we paid the weekend short trip rate which was 38$ per person.”

Our primary target street is 8th st between Rte 51 and Darlington Rd. This road is very winding and narrow and without the police dept controlling traffic we would not be able to pick up trash on this very busy road. The chief and all of the officers have been extremely helpful and we are extremely grateful for their involvement.”
