“Dr. Porter's practice is fantastic. We just moved in the area, and I have had cleaning/check-up and filling/crown appointments. I was told the crown would take a little time to be delivered, and I had a conflict that I wouldn't be able to have it put in for about a month. Later in the day, his office called me to tell me they were able to make some changes and were able to get my crown before I left. They did this completely without me even requesting. In my opinion, this is the definition of 5 star service. The dental hygienist and dental assistant that I interfaced with were both excellent, both appointments started on time, the office and treatment rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff member responsible to handle the finances was able to tell me exactly the cost the procedures after my check-up. I highly recommend Dr. Porter's dental practice.”

“The only store I go to in Collierville. The environment is the best, they're super friendly, positive, and very very helpful. One time I went in to get an energy drink and they were out. Well the owner Nick ordered me a whole case and the next time I was in he sold it to me for the price he paid.. Wholesale!!! Also I have been going to this store since I was 15 and I'm 33 so that should say it all. I have been out of gas and didn't have enough money to get to my job in Memphis about 25 miles away. Nick actually let me fill my tank up and then bring him the money after I got paid. They are amazing and friendly.. Definitely my favorite place to get gas or beer or smokes.”

“Built in 1949 and originally serving as a Post Office, the Historic Southside Market, LLC is located just beyond Clarksville in Southside. Though the market has served as multiple businesses throughout the years, from pool hall to general store, it has always been a staple of the Southside community, with the front porch serving as a great place for community conversations. The building was built from cinder blocks, (before that was a typical thing) and rough cut cedar, no milled 2x4’s. These days, you can still stop in for those everyday convenience items, and grab breakfast, lunch or an early dinner. Realtor Wendi Potter and her parents, Del and Cindy Green, purchased the market in 2020 and brought new life to it. Del and Cindy live in Southside while Wendi lives in Cunningham with her family. They truly love their community and the support they receive from them. As for the food, we grabbed two hot and fresh pizzas while there as well as a buffalo chicken sandwich, which was perfectly seasoned and actually one of the best we’ve had. We also enjoyed a tasty Philly cheesesteak! People come from miles around to enjoy their affordable breakfast options, cheeseburgers, pizza, wings, and Phillies. We are going to have to make a trip back for breakfast and that chocolate cake! Baked by Del, you can get a huge slice equal to 1/6th of the cake for just $3.50! You’re welcome to pull up a seat inside, or eat at the picnic tables outside, or join the conversation on the Liars bench on the porch. The bench is almost as old as the building itself and gets it’s name from some of the tales spun over the years. They’ve recently added the Truth Tellers Pew on the other side of the porch if you wouldn’t want to be caught telling a lie. 😉 Warm weather brings a Farmer’s Market, hosted the first Saturday of every month from 8am-noon. Definitely head over and give them a follow on their socials to stay up to date on events and those tasty desserts! When you do take that scenic drive out to visit, be sure to let them know that LOCAL sent ya!”

“We visited the Bangkok Market in Nashville, TN. We went in and were impressed with the decor which was more tasteful than you would expect from an Asian food store. The selection was excellent with, it seems, anything and everything one could want. I am not Asian but my wife is. Frankly, I didn't know what most of the items were but I could tell that you could find just about anything you need. There was a room that had plenty of fresh veggies and freezers full of frozen fish and other meats like "chicken paws"...Yumm! You could also buy nik-naks like Buddhas and elephants. Even the bathrooms were spotless and classy with granite countertops and marble floors. The staff was friendly and even stayed past closing for us to finish up our shopping. I would certainly encourage anyone looking to shop for Asian food to stop by for a visit.”

“I had an issue with not knowing where my underhood light was that I had ordered a week prior. It had showed up last night after I had left a comment on the tiktok video I had seen the product on stating that I was disgruntled about the situation. This morning I personally got a call from Matt Sledge, the owner himself, making sure I get my stuff and if I haven't, he was personally going to make it right. I spent 25 minutes on the phone this morning talking with him and saying my product came and explained my frustrations at first of not having the tracking information so I didn't know what was going on with it. After knowing the issue was resolved, we had a good talk like old friends. It's nice to have someone who will interact with their customers on a personal level to make sure everyone is treated right and fairly and if something is wrong, they will do their best to make it right.
