“I didn't expect such a nice place within a city. The lake is so beautiful. It has two side. In one side water is shallow, can swim, has picnic tables, grounds for playing, can go for fishing. On the other side, it's deep and can do kayaking, boating etc. The day we went, was very windy. Has restroom and enough parking spot. Entrance fee was $15/vehicle. I liked this place very much.”

With drought conditions drying up the Medina River, this place will probably always have water because it’s spring fed. 3 cabins and 2 RV spots on 8 acres, means no one is crowded on top of you. One cabin is a 4 bedroom double wide trailer with wrap around porch. Bath house and restroom facilities are new and clean.”

“I love staying at Lake Medina! I stayed in the cabins and they are nice. I liked going on hikes and being able to see the wildlife out there. Then being able to come back, take a swim in the pool and end the night by our campfire. The cabins have everything you need. Fridge, stove, pots, pans etc. The cabins are really clean and the beds are great! They're spacious and nice to relax in.”

Everyone here works tirelessly every day and I mean EVERY day to take care of the animals AND the volunteers at this amazing sanctuary! How could I turn down the best job ever??!! Please take time to enjoy a beautiful drive and an amazing experience and feed a tortoise, a zebra, a camel, a monkey…..Get dirty!!!! And thanks to my husband, Brien….
