“Came to try it out and it was really good! Got my pizza in 5 minutes. Love the crust and how the pizza does not have too much tomato sauce like some other pizza places. The cinnamon bites or “monkey bites” are good too. I wish we could’ve tasted the wings but they unfortunately didn’t have some when we went so maybe next time we’ll try it out. Staff was really friendly as well. We also ordered a pizza kit to take home and make our own pizza! It’s really cute and seems like a fun thing to do with family. Great place to come hang out and eat some pizza.”

“I have been by this place at least twice a week for the last year. Today I had an hour to kill, I was in the neighborhood across the street from Sofia’s so I decided to try them. Anytime I try a new pizza place I always have the pepperoni, this time I added bell peppers. I’m so glad I did, the first bite was exactly what I was hoping for, an explosion of flavors! Their crust was perfectly crispy and tasty! It’s such a shame I waited so long to stop and try their pizza! Don’t do what I did, if you are near and want some great tasting pizza, I definitely recommend Sofia’s Pizzeria!!!”

“We came here for the first time on September 7th. The food was mostly pretty good. The only disappointment was the fried rice was undercooked and flavorless. Portion sizes for all dishes were great. We will definitely come back again.”

“For those of you who think great customer service is dead, you need to come here! Just happened to be in the area and stumbled across this cozy restaurant. Such a relaxing and friendly atmosphere! The smiling waitresses were constantly, and I mean constantly, making their rounds to every table and checking in on them. The migas w 2 different colored crispy tortillas and the perfectly fried potatoes were delicious, along the green salsa that complemented them both perfectly! I ordered a side of bacon to go with the creamy refried beans and soft flour tortillas... Over all it was such a great homemade meal. Definitely coming back again! ❤️👍”

“Originally my wife wanted to come here. Once we got our meal I couldn’t wait to eat. The nachos were covered with toppings. Could barely see the chips. This is how nachos should be made. My daughters got burritos and I was amazed to see real meal sized burritos. The food tasted great. The young lady who was our hostess and waitress did a magnificent job.”

“We came for an early breakfast and the choices were many. The food was very fresh and well prepared. The service was friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxing. I will definitely come back. It’s nice to find a clean and uncluttered place to eat.”

“My first time here and definitely not the last one. This place is totally different from every taco place that I have been in San Antonio. Their Machacado tasted amazing. Better than most places I have had them before. I tried Huarache for the first time and I liked it. Must come back to try the Pulque, Tinga and their Borrego. Service and prices were excellent!”

“This location was packed at lunch, mostly workers in the area on lunch breaks. Parking was tight, for this reason. Just off the parking curb was about a 3’ drop down to ground that was just strewn with trash from the small strip center. I felt bad for any neighbors and the amount of trash they must experience from the 4 business here. Conveniently located to Redbird Ranch. Menu had some great photos but they were poorly labeled which made hard to determine which items were featured. This should be reviewed and appropriately updated to eliminate any confusion. I ended up ordering a fajita plate with grilled chicken and veggies. A large healthy portion came with 2 great hand made corn (flour tortillas). Entree was loaded with meat and cheese, rice and refried beans. Small “salad” with a single slice of still ripe tomato was adjacent to the beans. A nice plate overall. Men’s bathroom and some organization around the walls were stacked and cluttered and overall atmosphere will improve if this is addressed. Food was seasoned and not overdone. Chicken was moist despite time on grill and in the oven. Tortilla trips were nothing special.”

“I'd consider this a hidden gem. Fantastic cochinita pibil torta. The pork was so flavorful and tender, and the bread was crispy and buttery. Great combination. It's a cool place with a little indoor dining, but a huge outdoor eating area. The prices are beyond reasonable. Definitely will go back to try more of their menu. Go out of your way to try this place.”

“Very nice service. Very clean. Food was served quickly. All dishes were good, especially "Asada a la Mexicana." Not greasy at all. Freshly-made corn tortillas were hot and delicious. Ample parking and seating. Really cannot ask for more at a quite reasonable price.”

“Wow! Some of the best Asian dishes we've had in San Antonio, if not THE best. Schezwan chicken was crispy, spicy and perfect. Kung Pao was spicy and had everything you want, including noodles for a small upgrade (not the usual). Pineapple rice is AMAZING! Clean and owner is super. Nice indie music playing in dining room. Dishes are chosen from the favorites you know from other places. Go here! You won't be disappointed.”

“Homemade and delicious food. The carne guisada was tender and flavorful. However, the chilaquiles were my favorite. According to the owners, Yolanda and Perfecto, they have been serving their delicious homemade food for almost 34 years. In fact, several people at the restaurant mentioned they have been loyal customers for many years. Yolanda and Perfecto are excellent hosts, treat customers like family and they know how to make delicious food.”

“Went here for French fries but they also have wings. The fries were good they look like the kind that are fresh cut daily. They had plenty of seating if you want to eat the food right there and the tables were all cleaned off nicely so you can tell the employees actually cared. The front counter was clean as well, the worker was actually wiping it and straightening it out when I walked up to it. The guy who took my order was extremely friendly. Will definitely return and try more of the menu.”

“Loved our experience at San Antonio Pig Stand. I have been wanting to go to an old dinner for some time now and I am so pleased with this place. From their servers to the food was amazing. I recommend the bacon cheese burger and the fried chicken. Also loved their mozzarella sticks. Their classic milkshake are so creamy and savory.”

“This place was good but very crowded. The folks were very nice and attentive. Kind of a rougher location. Seems like a locals place. I would recommend them for authentic Mexican food.”

“The 1st time I came in here was 9 years ago. The owner who sadly passed was Jerry Sr. So, happy to see that his son Jerry Jr and Olga his wife are now running the restaurant. Their son Anthony runs the kitchen. This family is kind and passionate about their restaurant. No wonder why each employee seems to care about the restaurant. The food is definitely something to write about as well. The family is great but, the food is phenomenal. One of the first things I noticed is that a lot of locals were eating there. Great sign of a great restaurant. Then the restaurant was supper clean. Another great sign even though they are short staffed. The shrimp tacos and the jumbo margarita w/Dos Equis in it. They were delicious!!!!! I could have drank a pitcher of margaritas. And eaten more then 3 tacos. Just saying. The food and service are awesome. Having locals come and eat at your restaurant is a strong indicator that the food is authentic and good. More tourists need to find this hidden gem in my opinion. Plus, my bartender was a local surgery tech who was working 2 jobs. I admire her hard work and dedication not only to the restaurant but, her family as well. It's great to see this beautiful town of San Antonio support a legendary restaurant. Will be back and definitely will always promote it. Huge fan.”
