“Hidden gem - half paved, other half gravel. Fairly good views of the bayou. Signs every so often telling you where you are. Bathrooms and a nice picnic area a little back from the entrance. A few good quality benches. Just really well done, though the environment and occasional hurricane is definitely hard on the park I think. Well worth returning to.”

“A good quick stop to learn some Texas history. Wife and I only spent about 15 minutes there and didn't check out the visitor center. It was a good time though. The grounds were peaceful and the statue is pretty good sized! There was a cute bird nesting I the gravel very close to where people drive/walk...hopefully her chicks survive! There were 3-4 little eggs until her tail and she fluffed up a bit when I absentmindedly wandered to close. Anyway, fun monument to visit!”

“A unique experience! Decided to bring our daughter during spring break and we’re so glad we did! From the moment we checked in we were greeted with smiling faces. We had the option to buy food to feed the animals ($5 each) which I highly recommend. It’s not everyday you get to feed huge tortoises, alligators and elands. Our tour guides were all great! Matthew was very funny, knowledge and passionate about his job. At the end we all got to pet a few reptiles which was awesome. Thank you Crocodile Encounter for a memorable experience!”
