“Beautiful area, free camping. It's wonderful to have a little bit of freedom. Police have driven by, but haven't stopped to bark silly orders. They just smile, wave, and pass through. Boon docked for 2 weeks with my wife and 4 kids. We all enjoyed the entire stay. We live full time in our RV, and this has been one of our favorite places to stay.”

“Like driving around looking at wildlife and the boats going by on the far side. Great place to practice driving or take photos if you are patient. Sometimes roads are blocked with photographers. The bathrooms seem always open, but the Center is not. It is the great outdoors walk or drive, but, like all parks, it is remote. Closes at sunset.”

“Well the trail almost returned back to non existent, but we muster up the old Teddy Roosevelt charge .our sixty five year old selves made the whole thing, hanging silver dollar size spiders in the hundreds and still after three days pulling ticks off in our nether area's .very exciting feeling the eyes of possible nesting alligators watching us with surprise ,not believing two old fools marching thru.”

“Better than renting a beach house,it has a boat launch, pavilion and a deck overseeing the water with plenty of room for a nice party. Also with a friendly staff on the grounds to oversee the park. Easy accessible to the beach from the ground for surf fishing, kayaking and just chilling on the sand. The beaches are very clean and the waters mostly blue. I am make it a point to make this our family get away place to be.”

Speckled trout, small redfish, catfish and the occasional sheep's head abound at Clay Banks Fishing Area. Bring your mosquito spray. There's a Brazoria County Park fishing dock on the east side of the bridge. Sunrise over the coastal plain...”
