Top Parks in Park cities, Dallas, Dallas county, Texas, United states

Burleson Park

Address: 3000 University Blvd, Dallas, TX 75205, USA

Park

“This is the kind of quiet low-key park for kids who plan on meeting up with other kids from their third grade class. The equipment is up to date and as safe as playground gear can get. Well-manicured lawns, gently curving sidewalks and Pollyanna-style shade trees make this the perfect after-school-getaway for kids, parents and babysitters!”

Connor Park

Address: 4301 St Johns Dr, Dallas, TX 75205, USA

Park

“Great place for a picnic or just to sit and relax and enjoy the outdoors. Long grassy area alongside the lake area with trees and a few benches. No playground or bathroom area, so not the most family friendly unless living in short walking distance. One end of the lake has a cool black hole thing. Park is also close to Turtle Creek trail and a few blocks from Katy Trail so it’s a good place to start on a walk or run.”

Caruth Park

Address: 7801 Hillcrest Ave, Dallas, TX 75225, USA

Park

“This is one of the most beautiful little parks in Dallas. Heavily shaded, plenty of benches, impeccably kept, soccer field, tennis courts and a water feature. The children's playscape has padded flooring as opposed to wood chips. Owners seem to mostly pick up after their pets and there are plenty of poop bag stations always kept in stock. Wonderful park to take your kids or furry children.”

“Nice little park. Parking was a little hard to find.”

“This place is phenomenal. The venue is setup in such a positive nonpartisan way. Goes through the hills and valleys. The memorabilia is great.”

Native Texas Park

Address: 2943 SMU Boulevard, Dallas, TX 75205, USA

Park

“Along with just general enjoyment, this park is an laboratory of learning about nature! So many of our children don't know the names of our native plants, and they're really missing out on an important connection with the natural world. Go here and show them! The park is loaded with an astounding variety of native wildflowers, grasses, trees and shrubs--free for the viewing. Although Spring is definitely the most beautiful time, there are interesting things to see throughout the seasons if you take the time to look. The park re-creates different ecological areas common in Texas--Tallgrass prairie, Savanna and Woodland, etc. They also have implemented a unique system of re-using rainwater run-off that keeps it all onsite rather than entering city sewers. You can download a scavenger hunt from the website, too. This park is a wonderful gift to the community!”

“I love this place... Nice for a walk with the family, safe sometimes a bit too much, feels like you are being watched, but since I'm having fun i forget about that and enjoy the area and views... I took a ton of pictures of my kids and family. I love to compare pics of my kids when they were like 4 y/o to now almost 14.Normally walk around the lake but I've seen a trail. Overall nice and beautiful place.”

Teddy Bear Statues in Lakeside Park

Address: 4585-4657 Lakeside Dr, Dallas, TX 75205, USA

Park

“Beautiful place but it is not what I thought it would be. Only a handful of teddy bear statues and parking was horrible. You have to park on the side of a narrow road. Not ideal when you have to spend time outside the car buckling in a little one in the car seat. Worth visiting at least once to get pictures.”
