“This is a very small pocket park, but has some nice playground equipment, some woody walking trails, and even a secluded pond to walk around or across (it has a pontoon bridge). Very nice, watch the underbrush for armadillos or roadrunners!”

“We loved Cortadera park. It has wood chips, but my littles had fun there anyway! This park is amazing for climbing and running. There is a field for soccer players and a pond full of frogs. My boys had fun trying to catch them 😉”

“This is where I’ve come to take my son to play soccer just the two of us for a little over a year now and he’s been the best player on his team every season. We are here now practicing for tomorrow’s game which we hope does not get canceled due to the weather. They have restrooms here, water fountain, a miniature playground you can play on and kids can play on, they have a covered patio and obviously they have several soccer fields and lights for playing at night. They recycle and have trash cans and recycling Bends all over the place. This is a very nice and safe area and you can get some good exercise in as well. They have concession stands too I believe for soccer games.”

“Wildlife Encounter Nature Trail at Heritage Springs in Flower Mound is a superb trail to take the family to connect with nature. The trail ties in with Bluebonnet Trail in Heritage Park with Flower Mound Trail in the neighborhood north of the park. Not only do the trails in Heritage Park cover the whole park but there are animal statues at different parts of the trail with placards of information at each statue about said animals.”

“Bluebonnet trail at Heritage Park in Flower Mound is a must to traverse while visiting the park by yourself, with friends or family. On our third visit to Heritage Park we had the experience of walking a majority of Bluebonnet Trail. The family loved connecting back with nature and enjoyed looking at the statues of various animals along the trail, as well as the wildflower areas. Two pluses were a bench that overlooked a river and a public restroom is located at the end of Bluebonnet Trail near the Performance Pavillion.”

“The Pavillion at Heritage Park in Flower Mound is quite a large pavillion when compared to ones at other parks. There are two areas of the pavillion anyone can rent, six large tables, two benches and two grills to cool out on. The plus to this pavillion is there is a public restroom, a playground (Fort Wildflower) and a splash pad (Heritage Springs) all with in a short walking distance.”

“Nice park hidden away in the town of Flower Mound. Never knew it existed until a couple of days ago. Great place to just go and just clear the head and calm the noise. Great place for a couple of Instagram worth shots with the butterfly garden, the water sheds and the trees. Walk around the edge and just little to the breeze and leaves rattling in the wind as your eyes take in all the changing colors around. It was very calming. Just one note of advise ...watch your step. My wife was trying to get a shot of the garden and didn't notice a fire ant mound until she stepped in it. She was pretty quick to notice and only got a couple of bits but they hurt.”

“Newly redone park is great for 2-5 and 5-12yo kids. Cute bee theme. Artificial grass. Surrounded by trees. Walking paths. Feels secluded. Loved the seesaw which allows an adult to sit comfortably on other side. Merry go round is an updated version that is small kid friendly. Lots of climbing options. Rocks & wood stump to jump along. Highly recommend.”

“I am so impressed with this park! It is beautiful and clean! They have these awesome trials you can walk or bike threw trees, there are even some primitive camp sights in the trees, they also have different areas for campers where you can hook up. They have cabins and a park for kids. It’s very clean and well kept. The staff are really nice and helpful! I would love to come back here for a family reunion 😍 Each camper spot also has its own fire pit and picnic table.”

“Looks like as of Dec 2020, they are still constructing things around the area fyi. The basketball court was smooth and fresh. Its a double rim I believe so its kinda hard to make a shot. The playground seems like theres a ton of different things going on to keep everyone busy. The ground could be better for everyone, I think its not level enough so survey it before you do any games! No Pokemon Go Stops unfortunately.”
